Whilst the storm battered the island I was safely tucked up in this very welcoming and snug b&b. Linda very kindly cooked me a beautiful full Scottish breakfast at sillyoclock to make sure I got to the ferry on time. Highly recommended.

I was made very welcome by the hosts, Linda and Tim and found the room to be very spacious, comfortable and well supplied. The bathroom was also clean and homely. As I had cycled to the B and B and was cycling further the following day I was provided with a bountiful breakfast and fuelled for the day, while enjoying... More

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights at this B+B from 27th to 28th July 2013. Maolbhuide is situated in a beautiful, quiet location with stunning views. Our hosts Tim and Linda were very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was separate from the large bedroom and we also had our own private... More

Yes, episode 3, as indeed, since our first memorable stay with Tim and Linda back in 2009, this summer's was our 3d stay at Maolbhuidhe and there will undoubtedly be episode 4, and 5 and……… I must say that this year, either Tim or Linda, or both, had done a particularly great job conspiring with the Ministry for Fine Weather... I would have liked to give this B&B a better review given that other travellers had a good experience. Pluses: good location, good hospitality from Linda and Tim, good breakfast, room was very large, brightly lit room and bathroom. Minuses: carpet and bed linens had a musty smell, bed mattress was saggy and uncomfortable. They had the impression of being... More

Naturally we're very disappointed when anyone has a less than 100% experience at Maolbhuidhe. This couple, with a baby, stayed one night (we were booked for the following nights). It's unfortunate that they did not mention any of their dislikes while they were with us. They wrote in our Guest Book: "We had a very nice stay at your B&B.... More

First impression of Maolbhuidhe was the brilliant website (fantastic work Tim). So easy to use and gave us the exact information that we needed. So helpful. On arrival we were welcomed very warmly by Linda and immediately we felt at home. The accommodation was all on ground level which suited us very well. Very spacious rooms. We were extremely well... Great location, wonderful outlook, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and welcoming hosts. Situated just outside of Fionnphort, with panoramic views all around, the accomodation is very clean and comfortable. The bedroom, guest sitting room and bathroom are all on the ground floor with a separate entrance/hallway which gives a feel of having ones own apartment area rather than being in someone... More

We stayed here this autumn and found the room perfect for our mini break. The separate lounge was a big plus, giving you a cosy den with teevee, etc. The overall layout gave us exclusive use of all of the ground floor excepting kitchen, where Linda produced hearty breakfasts. Running a b&b is a delicate balance - both home and... More
