Gillian was a great host, even weeks ahead of our stay. She helped me arrange a special event for my husband which was very much appreciated. Ali cooked a wonderful Scottish breakfast. Nothing comes close to it. Ow that I'm home. Accommodations were lovely and highly recommend to anyone.

The Staffa House service starts before you arrive as their website is very informative regarding walks and local sites but most helpfully regarding times and distances between places in the Isle of Mull. Gillian in front of house is very friendly and helpful (she knew where we would see the elusive corncrake on Iona!) and Ali cooks the lovely breakfast... More

I have just had a 3 night stay at Staffa House and can recommend it highly. You are looked after so well. Accomodation is very clean and comfortable, with good en suite. There is also a lounge area with lots of local information, maps, booklets etc. to consult. The owner is also very willing to impart local knowledge and tips... More

The accommodation in this B&B is absolutely fine. However what makes Staffa House an exceptional place to stay is the outstanding level of service that is provided by Gillian and Ali. From the moment you walk through the door you are made to feel so welcome. You will receive all the guidance you need to explore the island of Mull... More

We visited Mull back in 2008; we hope to return some day. Our experience, particularly at Staffa House, was one of complete relaxation coupled with immersion in the sights and sounds of Mull and Iona. We were fortunate to spend three nights at Staffa House, and to have the wonderful breakfasts as well as two sumptuous dinners, prepared by Ali.... More

This was a truly lovely place to stay - Gillian & Ali have captured the spiritual magic of Mull and Iona in their home. The atmosphere is peaceful, and Gillian took her time to chat with you in a relaxed and unhurried way and is a font of knowledge. Our room was lovely - and what a bathroom! The breakfast... More

If only we'd been there for more than one night! But Staffa House was booked out all over Easter and I'm not surprised. Beautiful light, very clean room with a great shower - lovely and mainly organic toiletries - kettle & refreshments, fresh milk on request, lots of info in the room etc etc. Views towards the beach and the... My experience with Staffa House left me stressed out. I checked the availability; then arranged the trip (incl. buying a ferry ticket) and happily booked; only to get a cancelation letter seconds later, saying it was closed in March. It turned out on-line booking in March was not indicating booked rooms properly, and that they start from April. Immediately I... More

We're very sorry indeed that you experienced an unfortunate, and unprecedented, error in our online booking system. All our rooms should have been blocked off for the month of March, but somehow a few dates were still showing as available. We especially regret this error since we strive to make every guest and potential guest feel as welcome and looked... More

I had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 days stay here at Staffa House. Gillian and Ali were fantastic hosts, extremely knowledgeable about the area/ferry times/good walks to do/places to go. I had several emails from them before my arrival, first checking dietary requirements (vegetarianism not a problem), and then asking if they would like me to book a table at the... More

We spent three wonderful days in Fionnphort and could enjoy the silence, the wind and ocean of Mull. Gillian and Ali made your stay just great. They were wonderful hosts and made everything to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were clean, warm and cosy. It was a perfect location to Explorer Iona and do some hikes... More
