What a fantastic place to stay in,so relaxed with welcoming hosts and extremely clean - breakfasts to die for especially the 'black pudding' for those that like it !!! We had a wonderful stay on Mull, plenty to do and see especially the whale watching trip, this is our second trip to Cuin Lodge and the scenery from the room... more

We have just returned from a weeks stay in Mull and stayed at Cuin Lodge for 1 night - we were so suprised with Dervaig, which is a hidden gem. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and gave great information about local walks. The B&B itself has a wonderful setting overlooking a sea-loch and we were able to spot... more

The bed linens were Laura Ashley and in perfect condition, much better than somewhere more expensive we stayed the same week. There was masses of choice for breakfast and... more

However, the breakfast room has no view at all, and is gloomy. The situation also suffers badly from midges, and has no midge- eating... more

Management response from
Philippa Dale, Owner

I am sorry that the stay was less than perfect. There must have been a misunderstanding as we would not have opened a window if it had been requested to be kept closed. We have had a Midge Eater for 2 years. As the house is 200 years old and has walls 2 feet thick, the light can be restricted.

My wife and 11 yo boy/girl twins had a great stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a warm and friendly welcome from Philippa the owner. Nicely out of the way without being remote, the rooms have stunning views across the loch way over to the peak of Ben More. With a good chance of sighting the local Otters on... more
