My husband and I stayed with the hotel for a few days in October as a well deserved rest during a busy year. We had booked it before reading any reviews as we managed to "find" a fantastic deal for 3 days - we paid £90 per person for 3 nights dbb. At this rate, we weren't expecting much with... more

We had a pleasant weekend on a good value deal at the hotel. The rooms have been redecorated in modern Scottish style, the food was OK, sometimes good, and the bars and lounges are comfortable, and there are excellent views from most of the rooms. The staff are fairly helpful. We didn't have the problems with noise mentioned by other... more

Many thanks for taking the time to make your comments regards your visit with us back in September. The hairdrier is a strange one as all the rooms have permanent fixings of hair driers usually located in and around the dressing table. In your case it had been removed however with you bringing it to our attention we will remedy...

This was a really pleasant surprise, booked through the Mull tourist office. We decided on a weekend on the island at the very last minute but quite frankly didn't expect to find anything available at the peak of the tourist season. And it was a bit suspicious that it had dozens of rooms free. But after a long journey (and... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for one Saturday night last week as part of a weekend away. Hotel was fine, staff friendly and helpful. Only issues were similar to others in as much as the walls are thin and you can hear noise from other rooms. We only ate in the bar and the food was great.... more

The food was appalling we did wonder if there was a chef, everything was frozen, no fresh food. The bathroom was dirty and the floor was never washed in the 5 days we stayed. The week before our stay a coach party of 54 people went down with sickness and diarrhoea and they were confined to their rooms. We were... more

There are not many hotels on Mull and we chose this because it was convenient for the ferries to Oban and on the main road for access in both directions to the rest of the island. The main problem was in the layout of the building. The brochure states 2 floors, but does not mention there is no lift. The... more

Wonderful views from the room, neat and tidy clean room, lovely walk along the lochside to the local shop; also a great walk up the mountains through the forest to some waterfalls. ( in solitude, as its a steep climb and most hotel guests would have problems.. see below !!) We felt was similar to Hilton or Holiday Inn type... more

Stayed here for our Silver Anniversary. Room was clean, meals were ok nothing too exciting. There was a "special" on the menu- duck l'orange - for an £8.50 surcharge! Although the hotel was quiet at this time of year I felt we were a bit rushed through our meal. I mentioned a couple of things on the Guest Review card-... more

We had a terrible stay at this hotel. We had reservations for three nights, but checked out after one night. The walls are paper thin, you can hear the TV and talking from the rooms on either side, and every step taken in the room above. The hotel serves meals in 2 sittings, with a set menu with limited choices.... more

Stayed at this hotel for a 2 night break. Location is ideal, central on the island & close to the ferry. Views from the hotel & all bedrooms are fantastic. Food is perfectly acceptable. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately this is a modern hotel, and has been built with no soundproofing between rooms/floors. If you are... more
