The Argyll Arms is a small, unassuming Hotel on the road to Iona, situated on a sea Loch on the south west of the Island of Mull. Recently taken over by its new owners, considerable work has taken place and the owners are actively undertaking further improvement, but despite the long term project the accommodatiion was excellent. The situation on... more

The Argyll Arms is a hidden gem - perfectly located for trips to Staffa and Iona and offering a very warm welcome and lovely evening meals. The staff were friendly and were both helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was very good too. The only drawback was a rather small ensuite in our bedroom. more

After problems arose with our planned tour of the highlands and Isles we found we had a spare night with no booked accommodation and decided to spend it on Mull. With assistance from our son (back at base with internet access) we selected the Argyll Arms based on its location and were lucky to get a loch facing bedroom with... more

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in November. The rooms were lovely and, thankfully for November, very warm. The shower was hot and the food was nice. The breakfast in particular was fantastic. Most importantly the manager and his partner were wonderful. We were a group of three couples and the only people staying there that weekend. The... more

A little creaky perhaps, but a solid, friendly hotel. Excellent staff. No radio or TV in my room, but you should really spend your evenings in the bar in a hotel like this. No excuse not to. Handy for Iona and The Reef restaurant nearby is exceptional. more

We had a two night stay-which we enjoyed very much with our daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren. The family room was excellent with en suite bathroom, the double room also was very comfortable, clean and well presented. The food also was excellent. Rooms had a magnificant view. Even though there was music one night it was finished by 1045pm after... more

Stayed for 1 night. Is in the heart of the lochside hamlet of Bunessan. There are several rooms in a newish wing. Has a number of loch view bedrooms which are pleasently furnished. En-suite was tiny, though. Meals were freshly cooked and presented in a small dining room overlooking the Loch. Bar is smokey and you can here the music... more
