I come from the Isle of Lewis and have worked in many of it's hotels, but Hebrides self-catering accommodation is by far the best place to stay. I travelled home from Glasgow with a friend to surprise her sister on her birthday, and we were recommended by a family member to book Hebrides self-catering. It was perfect, spacious, very comfortable... more

We were warmly welcomed, on our arrival, by Morag who was very pleasant and helpful. She showed us round the accommodation which was 5* quality with Sky TV, all mod cons and cooking facilities and extremely warm and comfortable. We couldn't fault the house as it was beautifully clean and well furnished and the (very large) bed had wonderfully crisp,... more

Thank you for your appreciation. For the record, The Stables is not a five star property. Also the (very large) bed is a Queensize zip and link which can be converted to two 3 foot singles. Although in the town centre, our immediate neighbours are the Free Church, so it is a very quiet situation.

Graham and staff have really pushed the boat out with “Craigroyston”. I am lost for words. This isn’t just a house, it is a living fantasy! I have been to Sweden and stayed in their forest lodges, but this is in a truly different league. The first impression is the sheer space. As soon as you go in the front... more

We hired out this appartment/house for our friends birthday for a weekend. It beat my expectations. Beautiful, modern and extremely spacious with a lovely open plan kitchen, lovely log fire and great bedrooms, all with en-suite. Extremely clean and very cosy with all the extras. Felt like 'home to home' but better and more relaxed, very close to the main... more

Thank you for your very appreciative review, I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. That we managed to get Alice's group in was down to some other very nice guests who obligingly agreed to move to another property. For the benefit of other readers, the property name is "Seacote" and it is has a category...

I stayed in Seacote for two nights for my birthday weekend where I had somewhere for all my friends to come who were visiting from the mainland. We had plenty of room and Morag was so generous making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Wheelchair access of this standard is very rare on the island and it... more

Having read the reviews my wife and I were full of anticipation for our anniversary holiday with Hebridean Luxury Holidays, staying at their 'Metagma' accommodation. I should have been forewarned of what was to come when their booking system wouldn't accept my submissions, followed by problems when having the deposit charged to my credit card. Shortly after our arrival we... more

yes there was a problem, (mine),with initial payment. But your holiday was not interrupted by the management, Morag,at my request asked you to check your card statement upon your return home while on her (cheerio) visit, a courtesy which we endeavour to extend to all our guests. I have not harassed you; as per my e mail of 9th Oct,...

We've stayed in Metagama a couple of times and loved it but this time we tried Craigroyston, and once again we weren't disappointed. A holiday with a lively four-year-old and six-week-old baby doesn't sound like a recipe for relaxation but a blissful relaxing break is just what we got. Top-quality luxurious accommodation with nothing too much trouble for Morag who... more
