Stayed one night at the Royal Hotel. It is an old building with some character, and a nice change from some of the modern chain hotels. Room was spacious, clean with a small, modern shower room. Found this hotel comfortable and pleasant. Many different bars and a good eatery (HS1) Large rooms, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom can feel a little cool in the colder months but other than that, a quality stay. I have a few more journeys planned and will make this my hotel of choice.
