This hotel needs a good cleaning but the front desk service was excellent, the room was nice and quiet, and the buffet breakfast was great more

Exterior suggests tired corporate box. Inside it could do with a lick of paint too. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant good. Definitely better than first impressions suggest. more

Don't be put off by the outside of this hotel - the staff are exceptional in their welcome and help throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and thought the food was of a very high standard. The room was very well made up and free wireless was useful. The... more

After I ran screaming from filthy, rundown local B&B, I managed to find a single room at Cabarfeidh Hotel. It was heaven! The reception staff was very friendly and welcoming. Kudos to Beverly and Holly! One day during my stay, I went out on a tour and arrived back to the hotel late in the afternoon. I was starving and... more

Stayed one night on Highland tour after coming off late ferry. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Good breakfasts. Rooms a bit basic but did have wi-fi and nice toiletries. Located a bit out of town. more

Inside, the reception area has obviously been refurbished. Unfortunately the stairwells and rooms have not been so fortunate. Our room was clean and adequate in size and the bed was quite comfortable. It... more

Took my 89 year old mother on a 3 night break to the lovely Isle of Lewis, staying at the informal and very comfortable Cabarfeidh Hotel. We both loved our trip and our stay at this hotel. Staff are wonderful, food is great. My favourite is the crispy new baked croissants at breakfast! Bedroom has all sorts of thoughtful little... more

As other reviewers have said, don't be put off by the rather unprepossessing and '70s' exterior. The hotel is actually very nice. The rooms were average but were not lacking any essentials and our view over a tin roof and the local Chinese takeaway wasn't the best, but the hotel is more than acceptable in other areas. There is a... more
