We stayed here for 2 nights but would loved to have stayed longer, unfortunately they were full. Rooms are very clean, modern and comfy with great Wi-Fi( also a public computer to use if you don't have your own). Breakfast were excellently prepared and kept us going through till dinner. A nice 15 minute stroll into town were there are... More

Stayed for 2 nights recently at the start of our tour of the Hebridees. Very nice room, spotless, with very good quality furnishings and toiletries. Breakfast was very tasty. The only issue we had was being asked to choose a breakfast time at 20 minute intervals between 7.30am and 8.50am. The reason for this explained by the lady at check... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are however very disappointed you were not happy with all aspects of your stay and we wish you had given us the opportunity to ensure you were completely satisfied. We offer a staggered breakfast service for the sole benefit of our guests; this is to prevent guests having to... More

We stayed just for 1 night and had to catch our ferry to Ullapool at 6h20 am, so we didn't get the chance to get to know the hosts better, but we enjoyed our short stay. The host provided a takeaway breakfast. It was waiting in the fridge for us to take when we left, early in the morning: yoghurt,... More

Mary and I stayed for 6 nights prior to and during the HebCelt Festival. Paul and Maureen were great hosts and able to advise us on local customs and points of interest. Our accomodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, breakfast was good with a choice of cereals and the black pudding in the full breakfast was fantastic! Jannel is... More

One of the nicest B&B's we've stayed in. Our room was absolutely clean and very pleasantly decorated with soft blue tones . . . it really was a nice place to relax in after a strenuous day of touring the Isle of Lewis. Wi-fi was also good. The bed was very comfortable with very nice linens. There were a variety... More

Just back from two nights at Jannel. Must say this is a very pleasant, modern B&B. Rooms are spotlessly clean, breakfast has all that you would require including full Scottish. Paul is very very helpful and knowledgable about the area.

We stayed for 2 nights. Paul and his wife were very nice.Looking at the house from the outside it look just like a typical B&B. Then you enter the house and voila, a pleasant surprise. The inside of the house is contemporary. Our room was good size, with a huge armoire and two leather barrel chairs which I like. Our... More

Another couple who went to HebCelt 2015 (Hello, Lynne and John), as soon as I saw the line-up in January I was looking to book a B&B and I got lucky with the Jannel (I do not usually go as high as £89 for a B&B room if I can help it but the value is clearly here). On top... More

Lynne and I stayed for the duration of the HebCelt Festival. Paul and Maureen were great hosts. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, large comfy bed and lots of hot water. Fantastic choice for breakfast. Cereal, fruit, porridge, toast or a huge well cooked breakfast. Now we have found this b +b we wont book anywhere else when in Stornoway.

Very modern and stylish B&B with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Owners were very friendly and did anything and everything they could to help. Breakfast was great every morning and the B&B had a very homely atmosphere. Best ever B&B!!
