Arrived quite late as we were on the evening ferry but that wasnt an issue. Its ideally located, being seconds from the terminal, and only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Room was spacious and breakfast was lovely, especially the porridge. Would stay again.

Stayed here for just under a week. Owners were very helpful and friendly. I arrived too early for check in, but they went out of their way to get my room ready for me so I wasn't waiting too long. Only downside was that the heating was on a timer and the room was very cold when it wasn't on.... More

Stayed 2 nights in this outstanding guest house on my way to Skye, we really enjoyed our stay with Ali and Shona and were made to feel very welcome. The room was fantastic with sea veiw and total peace for reading. Breakfast was exellent served with fresh coffee and fresh fruit salad.I loved the tartan carpet throughout the house and... More

We booked via trip advisor for £135 for the night after reading so many great reviews for this place. We arrived and we were shown yo our room which was charming and had unobstructed water views. Slept well in a comfy bed slightly disturbed by creaky floorboards up stairs. Great brekky. Pleasant surprise was being told we were overcharged on... More

We stopped over in the Hal O' The Wynd for one night after a tour of the Hebrides. It is in an ideal location, close to the ferry terminal and all local amenities yet just far enough from the town centre to be quiet in the evening. The whole house is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated on a nautical theme... More

I was one of five ladies from Doha in Qatar who stayed with Aly and Shona for the Callanish Marathon at the beginning of August. We could not have made a better choice. The guest house is charming and in a peaceful setting in Stornoway, yet close to the town. The beds were so comfortable and our hosts organised an... More

Very good and pictoresque location close to the harbour and town center. We were two middle aged couples who stayed for four days. Ali and Shona were outstanding. Very frindly and helpful. Their fish n' chips is a must! The rooms were clean and comfy. Charming B&B.

We stayed here for three nights and had a twin room with shared bathroom. Lovely feel to the accomodation with a traditional Scottish / nautical decor. Even though it was a shared shower room, it was light and airy with views overlooking the harbour, great first thing in the morning as the town is waking up! We were delighted with... More

Very good B&B, well run, rooms nicely presented, very private, more like a small hotel. Very clean, good beds and a good breakfast, very hard to fault. Well located just away from ferry terminal with plenty of off road parking. A real find, would return again.

Genuine, nice family. They went way beyond what was expected including chasing us down on the ferry to return a lost item. I would highly recommend. I can't say enough wonderful things about this B&B. John
