Hal O' the Wynd is ideally located in Stornoway, right across from the ferry terminal, and within walking distance of the town center. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, though the bathroom was quite tiny. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious.

This B&B was booked for me through a tour company I contracted with to visit Lewis and Harris and could not be more pleased. The room was lovely and spacious and had a beautiful view of the water. Breakfast was nice and made to order and included fresh fruit. While I was involved with my tour most of the time,... More

Two night stay. Was able to accommodate third guest at short notice. Room very clean and tidy. Shared bathroom was right next door. Good selection at breakfast. Hosts were quite willing to make an early breakfast as we were catching an early ferry

We stayed here for two nights in July, staying in a large room (with a single and a double bed) with a shared bathroom. The B&B is right in front of the ferry terminal and there is plenty of parking, both at the front and a little way along the main road. Wireless here was excellent as they now have... More

Location was very convenient, the host was very friendly, and the room was large, clean and nicely decorated. This is highly recommendable B&B. Although bathroom had to be shared, it was not inconvenient at all.

Great situation opposite the ferry terminal. A good choice for a two night stay. A fine breakfast set us up each day. The bed was very comfortable. The room was warm and cosy. Very conveniently we were able to park just outside the front door.

Stayed here a few days ago. Knocked on the door and was pleased that Ali had a room for us. He could not have been any more helpful. Thanks for my taste of black pudding in Stornoway. Great last minute find.

Stayed at Hal o the Wynd for 2 nights, owners very friendly, overlooks harbour, near centre but quiet, very clean, great breakfast, very comfortable. Nice walk from Hal O the Wynd around headland past castle to lighthouse and trig point. Buses to rest of island 2 minutes away.

Arrived quite late as we were on the evening ferry but that wasnt an issue. Its ideally located, being seconds from the terminal, and only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Room was spacious and breakfast was lovely, especially the porridge. Would stay again.

Stayed here for just under a week. Owners were very helpful and friendly. I arrived too early for check in, but they went out of their way to get my room ready for me so I wasn't waiting too long. Only downside was that the heating was on a timer and the room was very cold when it wasn't on.... More
