A B & B, Octofad Farm meets all the requirement; Quiet, clean, outstanding location, nice host, local knowledge and great breakfast. The room was large and well lit. The shower was spacious and powerful and the bed very comfortable. Plus nice friendly cats and lots and lots of wild birds. Really recommend this B&B

We stayed here on a trip with our 27-year-old son in Sept. 2012, and what a great choice it was! Cathy was so welcoming and helpful, and the breakfasts were amazing. The location was perfect for us, as we drove all over Islay during our week there. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the views are gorgeous. We would... More

Octofad Farm is just a couple of miles south of Port Charlotte along the coast. Like the entire Isle of Islay, the area around the b&b is quiet and agricultural, mostly sheep pastures. For a ten-week period in the early fall of 2014, I toured throughout the islands and Highlands, staying in a number of places. Octofad Farm was certainly... More

This beautiful B&B far exceeded our expectations. The setting was amazing - absolutely stunning location. And the owner, Cathy, could not be more kind and welcoming. Best breakfasts ever! We had our 10 year old grandson with us - very family friendly and accommodating.

We stayed 3 nights at Octofad and absolutely loved it. We were so impressed with our room, the bathroom and the very large lounge area for the guests to relax in and treat as their own. It just felt so welcoming and we were so relaxed. Cathy was just wonderful and so accommodating. The view from Octofad is truly wonderful.... More

I had the great pleasure of staying at the Octofad B&B in Islay in June this year. When I arrived I was made to feel very welcome and the owner Cathy was very helpful. The room was large with a superb bathroom - a bidet even! I They also have WIFI which worked well. There is a common sitting room... More

We recently stayed for two nights at Octofad Farm and had a delightful stay. Cathy was incredibly accommodating and the room was well appointed and very comfortable. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place on Islay.

We recently cycled round Islay and stayed at Octofad Farm where we were warmly welcomed by Cathy and her husband with a lovely pot of tea and (for me) lovely gluten free cakes and biscuits. Our room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, wonderful bed and equally wonderful breakfast. On learning we were cycling on to another B and B in the... More

We stayed with Cathy at the end of September for three nights. This was by far the best B&B we stayed in on our three week tour of Scotland. The rooms were spacious and ensuite, there was a lounge we could relax in and the dining room had the most exquisite views. This is a working farm with cattle and... More
