We stayed here for 4 nights now last week. Really nice rooms, Great breakfast and lively bar. Wifi was Great in the bar and Some rooms, but inconsistent😌 Lots of whiskies at the bar and good food there.👍 the beds were comfy and bathroom good. Only thing i can complaine about is that it was a bit expensive. Mostly due... More

Really loved this hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was delightful with an absolutely stunning view. Bar well stocked with great whiskies. Lovely terrace leading straight down to a small beach. Idyllic, peaceful, relaxing. Great value for money. Really sad only there for a night.

Staff is friendly and accommodating, breakfast basic with traditional options. On premise bar seems to be very popular as is the restaurant. Be sure to book early if you plan to eat there. I had a pasta with vegetables for dinner one evening, husband had scallops. Both were delicious. Our room on the first floor overlooked the terrace restaurant, parking... More

Food was good and the seafood was fresh. My langoustines were undercooked. The wine was way overpriced as was the beer, but you are paying for the ambience. Beautiful! Right on the beach so ask for a window seat when you make a reservation. Good portions to make up for the heavy price tag.

I visited with my family of which there were 3 young children. We are frequent visitors and our children were looking forward to having their usual sandwiches for lunch. However the menu has now changed and doesn't include sandwiches, but baked potatoes were on the menu with tuna or cheese which are our kids normal sandwich filling. The menu also... More

I had the good fortune of staying at this wonderful hotel for a week and it was unforgettable. Fells like a cozy 19th century inn, with everything exceptionally clean and well kept. Room was spacious, bed exceptional, bathroom very impressive, modern and clean. Staff was super friendly, absolutely top shelf. Everyone greets you with a smile and treats you like... More

After escaping the Lochindaal Hotel and needing a nice dram, we headed over to the Port Charlotte Hotel bar. I cannot comment on the hotel, but the bar was amazing. The bartenders were really great conversation and man do they know their single malts! Kenny was definitely our favourite. Next time on Islay, I'll be back to visit him for... More

From check in to departure this was the best stay we have had in a hotel of this class. A cup of tea before breakfast was offered every morning and traditional Scottish tablet with a dram before bed just added the excellent hospitality offered throughout our 5 night stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was extremely nice, but could probably do with a little work in some areas (when I think about the price we paid). The drapes and cover on the bed were lovely, but there were a couple of areas where the paint needed touching up, and some tiles were a little loose in the... More

Who said, "You get what you pay for"? If only this was true in this case. The hotel itself is fine, but some aspects do not justify the £200+ we paid per night. The room was small but tastefully furnished in the Victorian style. Everything was well maintained and the view was wonderful. But, for the price charged, a bed... More
