My mother was the guest for one night as she had to move from the Bowmore Hotel opposite due to it being fully booked. Her room was actually lovely at An Cuan and she was very impressed. Lovely fixtures and fittings, spacious, a great bathroom and good traditional breakfast.

An cuan bed and breakfast it is a good accomodation solution in the small village of bowmore islay. Good breakfast and nice way to meet people in the big dining table. Cleaning could be better, but maybe it's just an isolated case happened to me.

My Husband and I have just returned from staying 2 nights in this lovely B&B. What a fantastic experience! Lovely rooms which are well-appointed. Our host was exceptionally welcoming and made us very much at home. The breakfast options provided something for everyone, and all was freshly cooked to order. We would thoroughly recommend An Cuan and would certainly stay... More

My sister and I managed to get a last minute booking here as she was running in the Islay Half Marathon. We had intended to camp but the weather wasn't going to permit it. This B & B was perfect from the start, we had a very warm welcome from Fergus who is an excellent host, friendly but not overbearing,... More

My wife and I visited Islay with our best friends for 3 days/nights. We are not used to B&B's but An Cuan was such an awesome experience that it may just make us change our mindset. The room was really nice and cozy, really comfortable and felt homey. Fergus offered a warm welcome and was discreet (which we really appreciated)... More

Family of four exploring Islay for a few days , stayed in this very nice place. Very friendly host, nicely decorated rooms and livingroom, all rooms heated. The weather was rather wet and windy, in fact there was a storm going on, but we felt at home at An Cuan. Fergus the host , made very good breakfast, and was... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights while working in the area. Very nice house with a very welcoming, but unobtrusive owner. Extremely neat, clean rooms, good shower. I stayed in a twin room overlooking the main street. Very quite though - even with a pub relatively close I didn't hear a thing during the night. Breakfast was delicious. I... More

Stayed at this quriky BnB with my boyfriend for sadly just one night, Fergus is very welcoming and makes sure you have everything for a comfortable stay. Bed was very comfy, and room was bright and clean. Breakfast was delicious and there was a great selection, homemade jam was tasty! Would stay here again and recommend others to do so... More
