We spent three nights at An Cuan while on a tour of the Islay distilleries. Fergus was a gracious host and shared his knowledge of Islay with recommendations for dining and hiking options. Rooms were small but well-appointed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The wet room was a new concept for us and it took several attempts to adjust the... More

Having booked for 2 nights as part of a party of 13 we advised them we when asked we would like breakfast for 8.30 the next morning as we had a late start that day. Great welcome from Charles who was standing in. Good well cooked breakfast. Nice wet room in our room. Rooms are not large but well equipped. On a quiet road with a pretty garden.. With in 2 mins from various restaurants and Bowmore Distillery which is now owned by Santory Japan.

We stayed for 3 nights at An Cuan and really enjoyed our stay. Fergus is an excellent host, and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. Our room was small but well equipped and comfortable with a sea view. Breakfast at a shared table was great way to meet like minded travellers, and the food was excellent. The location is... More

We visited this place in 2009! But, even so many years after, I still remember the romantic and authentic atmosphere! Small room but very comfy. Ideally situated, in the middle of the wonderful town of Bowmore, it's the perfect starting point for the Islay Whisky Road Trip!

My mother was the guest for one night as she had to move from the Bowmore Hotel opposite due to it being fully booked. Her room was actually lovely at An Cuan and she was very impressed. Lovely fixtures and fittings, spacious, a great bathroom and good traditional breakfast.

An cuan bed and breakfast it is a good accomodation solution in the small village of bowmore islay. Good breakfast and nice way to meet people in the big dining table. Cleaning could be better, but maybe it's just an isolated case happened to me.

My Husband and I have just returned from staying 2 nights in this lovely B&B. What a fantastic experience! Lovely rooms which are well-appointed. Our host was exceptionally welcoming and made us very much at home. The breakfast options provided something for everyone, and all was freshly cooked to order. We would thoroughly recommend An Cuan and would certainly stay... More

My sister and I managed to get a last minute booking here as she was running in the Islay Half Marathon. We had intended to camp but the weather wasn't going to permit it. This B & B was perfect from the start, we had a very warm welcome from Fergus who is an excellent host, friendly but not overbearing,... More
