I've been there with a Rabbies tour and I found the location and the premises higly satisfactory. I was in the Maltman cottage, inside the Bowmore distillery, right in front of the Visitor Center. My room was big, with a couple of windows, one of them looking to the bay. Furniture all right, well furnished kitchen with all the necessary... More

Absolutely Fabulous! We were a group of 8 touring whisky distilleries on Islay. We took the Old Bakery and it was well worth it for us. It has 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, huge living room and several seating areas. There's a huge kitchen with everything you'd ever need to cook a slap-up dinner for 8. It was spotlessly clean.... I recently stayed at Bowmore Cottages as part of a group of 8 fellow travelers. For distillery fans Bowmore Cottages are located right on site at the distillery We stayed in the Old Bakery, which is the largest of the cottages with 6 bedrooms, a full kitchen, a common area, a very large living room and a loft living room... Located in what was once distillery workers' lodging, located next door to Bowmore Distillery, in an extremely convenient location near restaurants, stores, etc. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and is totally renovated. While you may cook and eat in cottage, beware that you must not leave any food behind when you depart, or will be assessed a few.... More

The Bowmore cottages were basically attached/next door to the Bowmore distillery. You couldn't ask for a better location to explore the town of Bowmore from let alone a great location to be based out of to explore the whole island and all of it's charm. Their are a few nearby restaurants, but be sure to have reservations if dining during... More

9 of us stayed in the old bakery, and found it to be excellent accommodation. It is very spacious inside, and would easily have accommodated our better half's aswell! It is a very clean, modern and comfortable house, with everything you require provided. Well placed for the shop, leisure centre and bars/restaurants. The bottle of Bowmore 12 year was an... More

For us The cottages are the best accommodation option on Islay. Very clean and comfortable with all the required amenities for an undisruptive holiday. Spent a whole week we managed to visit all the distlleries on the island

Just came back from a holiday on Islay and stayed at the Maltman's Cottage for 9 nights. What can I say: it was just great! The cottage provides everything one could possibly need: toaster, microwave, water heater for tea, dishwasher, washing machine, hug fridge/freezer. The kitchen and the living room might get a bit tight if 6 people were living... More

I've had the great pleasure of staying in the Old Bakery and another of the cottages, the name of which slips my mind. They were wonderful and added to the magic of the island. All of the distillery staff are the nicest and friendliest people you could hope to meet and definitely add to the stay. Breathtaking views across the... More
