My girlfriend and I went to stay at the lake hotel last week for a long weekend. The food there is probably the best that I have tasted all year, combined with very good and friendly service. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished bedrooms which was very good value I have to say. Will be returning next year... more

The public areas of the hotel have been freshly refurbished, but be careful to ask for a refurb'ed room when you book. The ones which aren't yet re-done look worse compared to the lovely public areas. Food excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great views of lake from restaurant. more

The web photos (October 07) look good. The hotel is beautifully situated. The main public rooms are great. However the room (number 7) was 'tired' and badfly needed some tlc.
