We had come to Kippen for a family birthday party at the inn over the road and were the "overspill" of our group. An excellent base for both walking and moutain biking in the Trossachs. Ideal if you like a mixture of both town and country. Stirling is very close by with excellent rail links to both Edinburgh in an hour and Glasgow in 30 minutes. Well I had an excellent stay at Gillepsie Hall with friends. Their delightful golden retriever, Fingal, greeted us at the door ( and no he doesn't have fleas - so think the other reviewer must have picked them up somewhere else). Having looked forward to staying at the beautiful house pictured on the website advertising Gillespie Hall in the village of Kippen, nr Stirling I was totally and utterly disappointed with the level of customer service received.
