Princess Sylvia read about Kippen in the Sunday Times and as I was working in nearby Stirling, we though we would investigate. Stayed in Room 3 - quite spacious and took a while to heat up. Generally neat and tidy but had a huge web still on the ceiling. Had a pleasant venison dinner served by the gregarious Craig. Old... More

We stayed at the Cross Keys for one night and dined in the restaurant. The staff who worked here were excellent. We had 2 dogs with us and they made us and the dogs, feel very welcome. Rooms were fine, well appointed and clean and beds were comfortable although the carpets could do with a good clean or perhaps replacing.... More

We decided to have a wee night away in January, and alighted on the Cross Keys in Kippen. What a great place to stay. We were shown to our room by Craig who showed us around and explained everything. We had the double room which was clean and stylish, with views over Flanders Moss to the mountains beyond. The bed... More

Last week I stayed at The Cross Keys for three nights, in search of some post-Christmas peace and quiet. The hospitality offered by the staff of The Cross Keys was second to none; the room was basic but comfortable, and the food and drink of a very high quality. Midday and evening meals seemed to attract a happy mixture of... More

My wife and I turned up at the Cross Keys on a Sunday afternoon without booking only to find the place full to bursting with a group of 45 having a Christmas lunch. We were still made to feel welcome and finding was no problem to the staff who bent over backwards to produce an amazing pub lunch. I had... More

Small, cosy restaurant with welcoming fires burning. Very friendly barman showed us to table...the food was excellent, service very good even although the place was busy. I would go back, even athough this is out of the way!

Popped in for dinner on Halloween and wasn't dissapointed. To be honest I didn't really think about Halloween, and when I walked up was little worried it was going to be really busy! It was but we were shown through to the quieter restaurant with a roaring open fire! Perfect! The menu was impressive and the food didn't disappoint! The... More

Delicious meal with family last night. Cooked to perfection as always, very well presented and service great. Roaring fire and Scottish music added to the perfect atmosphere. Very relaxed and cosy, could've stayed all night.
