Stayed at the Cross Keys for DBB using an Itison voucher, very good value, as stated by a previous reviewer the premises close between 3 and 5 which we did not realise before we arrived. We were however checked in by the owner who showed us to our double room. The room itself was basic but functional. The premises have... More

Got this on an ITISON deal. Staff were great, nothing too much trouble. Cracking atmospheric bar which was very well stocked at reasonable prices. The food was quite simply first class and plenty of it both at dinner then breakfast the following day. We stayed in Room 1 which is a twin room. It is quite small and think that... More

Second visit to this pub. First time for lunch, when we decided we would come back to stay and have dinner. What I like about this place is that it is a proper pub, with drinkers and dogs and the footy results. It also does excellent food, beer and wine and has good pub service. If you want to be... More

This inn dates from the early 18th century and when you walk through the door with a warm welcome from Debbie and Brian the owners, you immediately feel the cosiness of this historic hostelry with its quaint rooms. The bedrooms upstairs were a good size with lovely views over the village and extremely comfortable beds, with all modern en-suite conveniences,... More

My husband and I stayed here for a one night break in July. We arrived at four in the afternoon and the door was locked as we hadn't realised that it shut between three and five. This wasn't a problem as the door was answered and we were shown straight to our room. The room, which was a double, was... More

Dog- friendly, child-friendly, pub grub excellent, gastro pub food good. Worth a visit. Kippen is a good base for foodies on any budget. Also nice walks in the immediate vicinity. Don't use the bypass!!!

This was our third time at The Cross Keys. My fiance and I came for a one night stay to celebrate the end of his final exams. After a day in the Queen Elizabeth Forest, followed by a nap, we went down for dinner. I had cullen skink and lamb tagine, my fiance had pork. Every dish was absolutely delicious... More

The Cross Keys is an adorable pet friendly Bed and Breakfast on the Main Street in Kippen. The owners Debbie and Brian are wonderful people! Brian is a phenomenal chef and also made some great recommendations of the local sites in the area. Our room had a great view of the country side, it was clean and minimalistic, which crisp... More
