I stayed here at the start of March with my girlfriend and another couple. We had received an overnight stay with breakfast and dinner and were really looking forward to it...only to be left pretty disappointed and underwhelmed. The bar is extortionate as is the food. Our voucher entitled us to a two course meal of one menu or £20... More

I am sorry you were unhappy about your stay with us and I am always disappointed when my guests leave us not having enjoyed their stay. We feel our menu is well balanced and is keenly priced, our bar prices are average for a small family run hotel which does not have the buying powers of the larger chains. I... More

We had a lovely overnight stay here, in some ways we would like to give Culcreuch 5 stars, but due to a lack in facilities, we have had to give it 4 stars. The Castle is in a very quiet location, we would recommend finding it in daylight as it does feel in the middle of nowhere. The Castle has... More

Myself and my boyfriend were given a voucher for Culcreuch castle as a Christmas gift. Lovely place with a lovely view. Staff all very friendly. Food was nice, nothing special but nice nonetheless. We visited with another couple and personally none of us would have chosen Culcreuch castle. The only reason being was it was too quiet for us, we... More

We spent a night at Culcreuch courtesy of a Christmas gift from our son and daughter-in-law, and enjoyed every moment. This place is the very antithesis of corporate blandness! A warm welcome upon arrival from a lady using actual pen and paper to book us in, and up we went to our quirky and individual room which was an eclectic... More

Booked one night stay via 5pm.com. Excellent value. Don't book this hotel, if what you want is a charmless sterile modern hotel. This place is over 700 years old and is furnished accordingly and appropriately. Simply stunning. Food was excellent and all staff were helpful efficient and friendly. Only negative comments I would make are:- Question decision to fit carpet... More

I stayed here overnight at a family wedding and loved every minute. The staff went all out to make their wedding day amazing and we all had a fabulous time. Our room was cosy with a lovely view of the castle grounds, and breakfast the next morning was lovely. I'd love to come stay here again, its a hidden gem... More

Just returned from a cosy overnight in Culcreugh Castle Hotel. Wonderful location only 40 minutes from home (Paisley) yet we felt as if we were in the Highlands of Scotland. The hotel has the feeling of an authentic castle so don't expect all mod-cons. We spent the night in the Keep which, whilst small, was cosy and warm. The decor is... More

Stayed here 29th December on a deal for hubbies birthday. 1st time staying here. Rooms very nice but extremely cold although the whole place was cold. Had an extra heater put in room which was great. Hotel was pretty quiet but it was in between Christmas and New Year. Dinner in the dungeon was really nice as was breakfast. Staff... More

Many thanks to the team at Culcreuch for an amazing end to 2014 and a brilliant start to 2015!!! The Gala Dinner in the Lairds Hall was amazing enhanced by a magician who came to our table and wowed us with close up sleight of hand tricks (very impressive), this was followed by dancing and blethering til the bells when...
