Spent a pleasant lunchtime here on our way to a concert in Perth. Good Sunday menu and washed down with a pint of real ale which is brewed on the premises. Nice bar and eating area and understand that they may eventually have some accommodation which would be good as there doesn't seem to be much around there.

We stopped here for lunch, as it was a party of 9 we had pre booked a table. Food was good, lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was local musicians playing in the corner and they were very good. It was a really nice relaxing family lunch and will definitely be paying a visit again when... More

Visited this pub, boozer, bistro (you decide) while on a short break with family members. The hostelry is indeed a very attractive place with a nice bar and lovely eating area. Like most out of town boozers, bistro's or pubs, the teatime custom was a bit "wicker man" but nothing to write home about. The female staff were very pleasant... More

Called in at the Fintry Inn.....what a perfect welcome...the management & staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. A group of local musicians were playing in the bar....just a perfect atmosphere......will definitely call again.

We really appreciate your feedback even those the food was obviously not to your liking. You mention that they homemade tomato sauce was 'vile'. This is made fresh to the chef's own recipe and is very popular. However if you'd preferred something different then Heinz Tomato ketchup is also readily available at no extra cost. More

We were here on a Monday evening so it was very quiet, but others were eating there and locals were popping into the bar. I understand it's been taken over as a cooperative by the community and I felt that they were really working hard to make it a great place. The homemade soups (leek&potato and ham&lentil) were very good... More

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. Yes, we are trying to run the pub and restaurant as a community cooperative. We are just finding our feet since we completed some of the much needed renovations last year. The initial aim was to ensure that the pub was secure and maintained within the village. it is early days... More

We had a really nice lunch at the Fintry Inn on Sunday. The place has been beautifully renovated with a nice new dining area but still retains its old fashioned charm in the front bar. My wife had a delicious carrot soup (doesn't sound extraordinary - but it tasted amazing) and open ham sandwich while I went for the super... More

First time visiting this pub. Inside was lovely nice decor and a local band was playing which was a nice touch. Unfortunately we came for food and this was awful! Staff were very friendly but the service was so slow even though there was only 2 other tables. After ordering we waited over an hour for starters. Nothing fancy just... More

We take all the reviews we receive seriously as it is in our best interests and in this day and age it is an endless and often thank less task having to respond to anonymous social media driven critics. We would not knowingly serve our customers burnt soup and we certainly would not expect them to eat it! It is... More

Visited today Easter Sunday, friendly staff and nice setting. Partner had Cullen Skink which was tasteless and a roll which was not cooked ! Ok I should have complained at the... More

Thank you for choosing to stop at the Fintry Inn. We are sorry that the food was not to your liking this time. Both the macaroni cheese and Cullen Skink are very popular dishes and both are freshly prepared on the premises. The rolls are supplied from a local artisan bakery so we are very surprised by your comments that... More

… and will go back. Very courteous staff and excellent food. Dog friendly, (dogs allowed in the traditional bar) area and serve food all day. Beautiful fresh fish and home-made tartar sauce AND ketchup. Yum. Great scenery also, very under rated area is the Carron Valley for being so close to Glasgow yet, feels like the Highlands.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review we really appreciate the feedback. The Fintry Inn is a community interest venture owned and managed by members of the village. The initial aim was to make sure that the pub wasn't lost as it has been a feature of the village since 1750. However we also realised that there... More
