To arrive by train, I was delighted that the Hotel was only a few minutes from the train station. The staff were fantastic and as a single female traveller made me feel very 'at home'. They tell me that the Hotel has undergone some refurbishments incluging the Bar, which I found to be comfortable, clean and relaxing. The food couldn't... more

Ripp off prices for inadequate squeaky floored grime covered carpet, single bedded room with shower connected with no cold water supply!! Perhaps that's why the waiter stank! No kettle in room - plenty of stains to suggest that there had been one. Advert on the web suggested satellite TV - mine looked like it had been thrown out of a... more

We arrived here at about 10 to 11 after an appalling journey, just in time to have a drink at the bar. The actual bar is not very nice, looks like a rather nasty sports bar type place and a very limited selection of drinks, but we had a G&T and sat in a pleasant little room with a real... more

we booked a double room for a night for a night off from the kids, got to the hotel-staff were nice and the overall impression of the hotel was good, looked quite grand in the reception rooms etc but our room was not to a good standard at all. The bedsheets were ripped and there was a pane of glass... more

The staff here are really friendly, and the food in the restaurant was nice. However, the rooms really need some serious updating: uneven floors, leaky showers and damp bed took the shine off my stay. more

We booked this hotel at fairly short notice to visit a family member in the area. We only stayed the one night at a cost of £70 B&B. The hotel is easily accessed off Henderson Street and plenty of parking spaces available. The entrance lobby to the hotel is dark and could do with a facelift however the staff were... more

We had spent the day at Stirling and were really only looking for a place to stay on a Saturday night. We had booked on the web and clearly indicated a double room. Staff at reception were very friendly but when we got to our room found it had 2 single beds. After returning to reception the second room offered... more

Stayed here recently. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Staff were generally very pleasant and helpful. The menus were a little limited but the the food was excellent. Drink was very expensive (£3.00 for a pint of heavy is a bit much). I was at a conference and well, it was a bit amateurish- need to upgrade the... more

We stayed here recently for the night after hubby treated me to a wee break away. We were in Room 32 at the back of the building, over looking the car park. The bed is massive and comfortable (3x2 pillows each) and the room is pretty big too. The bathroom is also bigger than usual. Our only complaint there was... more
