As it happens we shared the B&B with another honeymoon couple. It says it all - Richard had put us in this wonderful room with a huge four poster bed - it was so comfortable. We were welcomed with a decent cup of tea and a huge shortbread, and wait a log fire! Great start. Richard clearly has a passion... More

I had my wedding here on 13/07/13 and stayed the 13th through to the 16th, and I have to say I cannot fault any part of my stay. Our wedding went without a hitch with the owner Richard acting as master of ceremonies, he made us truly welcome throughout our stay and could not have been more accomodating. We had... More

Normally whiz past this bit of Scotland on way to somewhere else but can thoroughly recommend stopping for few days. Villages except Biggar not up to much but scenery lovely. B&B is special, you feel so grand but not intimidated as have before when stayed in the larger country houses. Room are huge - don't feel put off by having... More

Thank you for the review. Sorry that the WiFi in the room is very slow. Broadband here in Cormiston is not fast. We have added a booster in the Sitting Room which gives better reception, and are addressing wireless speeds in the bedrooms. We look forward to seeing you again soon. More

We had a great two-day stay here on a touring holiday of south-west Scotland. Richard is a very warm and welcoming host. The farm building has been tastefully restored, and while there are one or two things still left to be done, the rooms are lovely. Our room wasn't en suite, but we had a private bathroom along the corridor,... More

We enjoyed a comfortable night at Cormiston Farm, where the host was very helpful and attentive, and the room we slept in was large and comfortable. The breakfast was very good indeed, including fresh fruit, as well as the tasty cooked fare. We do have one grouse though. The website said that we would be greeted with afternoon tea and... More

Richard is the perfect host, we had a wonderful stay just wished we could have stayed longer, the house is so tastily decorated , the evening meal was outstanding our 15 year cleaned her plate on each course. We went to the Olive Tree on our way to the Highlands for that wonderful Cheddar and goats cheese which our friends... More

Overall great. We only stayed one night and would have liked to spend more time. Overall great but I think it was just a tad expensive.

We were looking for a few indulgent days away with our 6 year old son, and found Cormiston Farm and thought it looked very nice. And so it proved to be, and some! Richard was the perfect host, relaxed and unintrusive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely, decorated sympathetically to the age of the property. Breakfast... More

Richard the proprietor couldn't do enough to make sure we felt welcome, we were offered teas, coffees or something stronger at every opportunity (without intrusion). The bedrooms were beautifuly decorated with respect for the original features. The bathroom (not en-suite) was very clean. We had a disaster when we accidently broke some of the original 1930s bathroom tiles but Richard... More

Thank you for your very kind comments. The bathroom tiles are all fixed - they can be very sharp when they break - so no harm done ! More
