I searched online for a place for my dad and I to stay on our trip to the dragon, and I couldn't have been happier with the choice. This place is very simple, laid back, and clean. The food is excellent, and the owners are very nice friendly people who will sit down and talk with you. Also, if you... More

We rode the Harley from Texas to Maryville,Tn. to ride the famous Dragon Tail. This place is very clean, quiet, and only 7 miles from the Dragon. Dennis the owner and his wife are super nice people. They go out of their way to accommodate you in every way. The restaurant has real good food ( best BLT). We plan... More

Stayed at the Dragon Pit Inn for a few night last week. The owners are very nice people who never met a stranger. This is a great place to stay if you are riding motorcycles. The owners are rider and can point you to the best places to ride in the area. This is not a large place so you... More

THIS is the place to stay. About 11 miles to the Dragon (with a beautiful ride in around a lake) and the Cherahala Skyway loop starts right next door. Enough Dragon traffic goes by to keep you entertained while eating and the best seats face the road. Dennis is a great guy and his wife is very sweet and a... More

We rode up to the Dragon several years ago when they first started out and were simply amazed at the friendliness, knowledge, care and concern exhibited by the hosts. Jane and Dennis are awesome people who, even though they are Yankees, have a very Southern personality. My wife and Jane bonded instantly and Dennis and I enjoyed talking about music.... More

We really did like Dennis and Jane and they are great people. The information they had about the area was great and it was spot on. The rides Dennis recommended were great and directions to everything was right on. I doubt if we would stay there again. I thought the mattresses could have been better, we had 2 beds in... More

We ate lunch our first day at the South end. We were not impressed it was bad. We actually had no plans to eat at Dennis' restaurant. We actually had stopped next door to buy patches. The guy next door was not open so I went over to ask Dennis when he might open. Turned out that Dennis had the... More

Recently on a vacation trip we stopped by the Dragon Pitt Inn to have lunch and the smoked pork was awesome. Jane the owner makes her own bbq sauce after Dennis smokes the pork. They both were quite friendly and informative of the area. Jane was nice enough to show me the hotel rooms, and I found that they were... More

I have been at the Dragon Pitt Inn for two years in a row. The owners are extremely helpful with directions from the surrounding areas and knowledgeable about hot spots in town. The hotel had everything we needed....t.v, fridge, coffee maker, tasty bbq from the restaurant, comfy beds and most of all WI-FI. We drove quite a distance to stay... More
