My wife and I have just returned from a weekend in Turnberry. Everything about the hotel is sensational including rooms, views, golf, service and food and not naturally the prices. We are saving up to go again.

Stayed three nights in January. Had always wanted to stay here. Hotel was almost empty due to the time of year and reminded me a bit of "The Shinning". Breakfast was excellent. We went through the menue each day chosing somthing different and everthing was perfect. Didn't try the Burns breakfast but the eggs benedick, Turnberry full breakfast, kippers, etc...

We had an overnight stay last Saturday and couldn't fault this hotel. The hotel has a beautiful aspect but the main attraction has to be the friendly yet professional staff. From the Kilted concierges to the bar and restaurant staff, it was a wonderful experience.

We stayed for one night and had a fantastic time. The staff were absolutely fantastic as were the views, despite the poor weather. Despite it being a 5 star hotel it was very relaxed and not overly formal. Having in stayed in other 5 star hotels in scotland, this one was miles ahead of the others.

Turnberry is one of the world's unique locations. Beautiful scenery, stunning Championship Golf Course and a hotel which combines modern comfort with a retention of old world charm. If you can, spend the extra money to enjoy one of the rooms over-looking the sea and the golf course. These are much better appointed than those looking across the rear courtyard....
