Ailsa Course was beautiful to play. Quality of service from the staff at meals was incredibly slow and disorganized. Very over priced vs the quality of food and service. My advice would be to stay somewhere else and go there to play the course.

The hotel was selling you a five star property. Room assigned was to be renovated. Not the case. Actually noisy and dirty. Did complain, was advised that a room change would be made available. No call or effort from management. Poor health club, old change room. Not a five star at all. Trying to sell the Trump image, need to... More

We stayed at the Turnberry Resort while playing golf in Scotland. The Donald is putting millions into the resort and the parts which have already been renovated are quite nice. The clubhouse for both golf course is fabulous. The main resort is in the process of being renovated and presently is very tired looking. The rooms are quite small and... More

The hotel stay was very luxurious, but you pay for that. The golf course which is run by the same team is is in great condition however we played it on a day where it was not marshalled and a game of golf took 6+ hours and was very disappointing, regardless of it being a tourist track, they need to... The hotel was chosen as the venue for a family wedding on the grounds of being "something rather special and a memorable experience". The drive through the area does not give much indication of just how grand the building looks and the amazing views out to sea, including the iconic Ailsa Craig. Check in was very swift and the bags... More

We stayed at the hotel, as we were attending our niece's wedding. A positive for us was that our dog was allowed to stay, but unfortunate that we were unable to access the room before the ceremony, at 2pm. We were however assisted to ensure the dog had a cool spot to wait in. We stayed in a room over... More

I visited with a ladies group with around 90 ,which turned out to be a very pleasant afternoon. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, The food was excellent with an unlimited choice from the buffet, starters and desserts The main course came directly from the kitchen, which was served very promptly in conclusion I can recommend this venue.

We stayed here before it was Trumped and it was an excellent 5* resort. We were greeted in the most professional manner and allocated rooms in the adjacent lodges. The houses were the most luxurious accomodation you could ever stay in with the highest degree of comfortable beds. The lounge and dining rooms were luxurious and the service was top... More

Just returned from a two week trip to beautiful, friendly Scotland and this was the only bad hotel experience. Several other reviewers have commented on friendly, helpful staff but we experienced the opposite. We pulled up and the valet started rummaging through our car, throwing away half empty water bottles as soon as we emerged. Check in was uncomfortable and... More

We booked Turnberry for a golfing weekend for the men and spa and relaxation for the women. We arrived after a long 5 hour drive. The reception we received and check-in was excellent. Hotel looked very impressive, excellent service from all staff exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. But when we got to our room (301) I nearly cried it was... More
