The hotel was very welcoming. The hotel was always very clean, tidy and well aired. The bedroom was very comfortable. The only downsize was the limited amount of TV stations. The restaurant has excellent staff who superb freshly cooked meals. The views in the restaurant are amazing - the views are over Maidens harbour and the sea.

Had a night here before moving on to the Western Isles. It was rather curious to have a hotel and care home but it clearly works well. We had the Mull room which was spacious and comfortable and had a lovely view, despite some less than summery weather. The evening dinner was very good, particularly the dessert from the specials... Excellent facilities, wonderful food , staff that treat you with care and respect, it just seems they cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spotless and well appointed with everything you could need. It ranks in my opinion as one of the best Hotels I've stayed in. Although all the staff were excellent, the receptionist Lorna and the dining... More

A three star hotel that does not over promise and has won us over as a result. Connected to a care home might seem like an odd set up for a hotel - but it works. The food is plentiful and fresh. The staff is lovely and the rooms comfortable. It is not posh - just very comfortable. The view... More

We Stayed in the Ailsa suite which was spotless spacious and had great views. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the choice. Part used as care home but don't let that put you off. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here on a business trip, the room was very nice, clean and surprisingly modern. Breakfast was rather good, I particularly recommend the haggis, tis to die for. Only bad thing I have to say was the bar was deserted at night, but it's to be expected and not the hotels fault. I would definitely stay here again
