We arrived for our one night stay and were warmly welcomed. Our room was on the first floor with nice views out onto the landscaped gardens. It was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. It was also very quiet as it was set well back from the road. The wifi was very good and accessible in our room.... More

The first thing to point out is that this hotel is also a small private care home for a few OAPs in need of some TLC. Lovely small hotel offering nice rooms at a very reasonable price and the OAP residents were all very chatty and pleasant which added to my stay. Very good food in restaurant and I enjoyed... More

Very peaceful in a beautiful setting. Our room, overlooking golf course, was spotless, comfortable and spacious. Good choice on menu and food cooked and presented to a very high standard. Breakfast excellent with portions which can keep you going until dinner at night. Staff both friendly and very helpful. When we had a problem with the TV (reception not good... More

This hotel is deathly quiet, even at this time of the year and with the Ladies' Golf Open taking place just down the road I would have thought I'd see some activity here but not much, for an hotel, anyway. The rooms are clean and spacious and beds firm and comfortable. Seals/fitting of the windows in some of the rooms... More

The hotel was very welcoming. The hotel was always very clean, tidy and well aired. The bedroom was very comfortable. The only downsize was the limited amount of TV stations. The restaurant has excellent staff who superb freshly cooked meals. The views in the restaurant are amazing - the views are over Maidens harbour and the sea.

Had a night here before moving on to the Western Isles. It was rather curious to have a hotel and care home but it clearly works well. We had the Mull room which was spacious and comfortable and had a lovely view, despite some less than summery weather. The evening dinner was very good, particularly the dessert from the specials... Excellent facilities, wonderful food , staff that treat you with care and respect, it just seems they cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spotless and well appointed with everything you could need. It ranks in my opinion as one of the best Hotels I've stayed in. Although all the staff were excellent, the receptionist Lorna and the dining... More
