We booked this hotel at very short notice as we wished to stay nearby to Culzean Castle and The Maidens beach . I had some concerns about staying at a Hotel co-located with a care home however I was persuaded by the positive feedback on tripadvisor. I am pleased to say we were so pleased with the hotel, its location... More

We booked this stay with Booking.com but it did not say in the hotel description that Malin Court has a care home for the elderly operating from part of the same building. This did not spoil my stay but as i am a carer myself for my mother it was like a bus mans holiday as the purpose of the break... I have given this hotel a very good because it could not really be faulted...great service...excellent food and the rooms were spotless...The elephant in the room is that the ground floor is a residential home for the elderly which is challenging although there is no impact on the hotel residents but it does make you question yourself if you want... What a lovely surprise to roll up here and find this attractive virtually single storied building with pretty gardens, lovely views over the gold course...a very welcome sight. The receptionist was very pleasant as were all the staff, all of whom passed the time of day when you saw them. It has a very informal feel about the place and... More

Stayed 2 nights to travel up to Commonwealth Games. Lovely quiet hotel. Staff very friendly & welcoming. Breakfast good. Yes, it's also a care home but it doesn't impact on your stay at all. Stayed with our 9 & 10 yr olds. Room very clean and a good size. Modern fixtures & fittings. Complimentary bottled water, shortbread & tea/hot chocolate... More

It certainly is strange sharing a hotel with a nursing home but that impinges little on your hotel experience. However it is a very quiet genteel establishment. Our room upstairs was comfortable with quality bathroom products, dressing gown, iron and ironing board, trouser press everything was very clean. The staff were all very friendly and obliging. A typical Scottish breakfast... More

When we arrived we were a bit taken aback it is also a care home, however this didnt impact on our stay at all. It isnt suitable for children or young ones after a drinking time away. We had room 8 which was huge with a view over the golf course and the sea. Reception staff were exceptional and couldnt... More

My family have been coming to Malin Court, mostly to dine, but also to stay, although we hadn't been for a long while, dad invited us to come and stay here for his birthday treat. More suited for adults than young families, the rooms are very comfortable and have lovely views out over the harbour at Maidens or the golf... More
