We had spent 3 nights in Oct/Nov 2015 and enjoyed ourselves so much we returned on 29th Jan for 3 nights to celebrate our 46th Anniversary. We stayed in the Kennedy Suite and were spoiled by the staff who were always there to help you. They even put flowers in our room for a surprise. The staff are excellent and... More

Beautiful walks around this gorgeous building - you could easily just spend the day exploring the grounds as they are both gorgeous and extensive, even during winter. The castle is also magnificent and well worth the money to look inside and explore the history of this place. Would highly recommend for a good day out!

We had a wonderful time at Culzean Castle in the Eisenhower Hotel this weekend. Fortunately we were blessed with the worst weather of the winter so far so we had no excuse for leaving this wonderful establishment for the entire duration of the overnight stay. It goes without saying how beautiful the setting is on a high cliff overlooking the... More

Stayed for two nights in the Adam Suite in November 2015, and what an amazing experience it was. The Eisenhower Hotel is completely different to any other experience, in that once you enter the castle, you are taken up to the Eisenhower Balcony on the top floor in an original 1920's lift, being transported into a different world of luxury.... Culzean Castle is one of the National Trust for Scotland's gems and it is certainly one of Robert Adam's greatest "makeovers". Our tour (there are a couple each day though you can self guide) was guided and informed by a very interesting guide. The various rooms are simply stunning. The pity is that the top floor is an hotel so... More

We stayed at the Culzean Castle last month on our three week trip through Scotland and Ireland. This was by far the highlight! We stayed in the Alisa Room - breathtaking and everything a castle bedroom should be! The property is gorgeous. You are treated like royalty - from the afternoon tea, to the outstanding delicious dinner and breakfast! Do... More

On the top floor and off the tour rout (you use the old double gated lift) there are 6 bedrooms, dinning room and tv room, and splendid circular lounge with sea view. Driving in and checking in is all a bit tricky due to the public tours etc but once upstairs it aint half comfortable. Staff seem to rotate a... More

I did not stay in this hotel, just visited it. The castle from the outside is very impressive. Built in the 18th century it is now part of the National Trust for Scotland. It sits on beautiful grounds on the Ayrshire coast. There is quite a bit to see inside. Unfortunately there was a wedding that day so I did... More

One requirement for our holiday to Scotland was to stay in a castle. Culzean did not disappoint. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Expensive to be sure. One necessary calibration is that it's not a luxury hotel with respect to amenities. You are paying for the chance to sleep in a castle. Whether that is worth the... More
