We visited Culzean on a sunny day around 4 oclock (very close from the last admission). The castle is just amazing, with fine furnitures and subtile internal decoration. We were amazed to see sculptures and paintings of Napoleon Bonaparte, which is unusual in UK Castles.... The sea view from the main reception room is also unique. The castle is also... More

The location is magnificent, on the cliff edge in the former stable courtyard, next to the castle. The cottage is warm, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It has been recently redecorated with new curtains and some new carpets. We particularly enjoyed walks in the grounds when the day visitors had gone and the views to Arran were magnificent especially... More

My partner and I stayed for one night at this amazing castle. We were greeted by Iain who showed us to our room which was the Ailsa . We were very impressed with our room and large bathroom. We really enjoyed our visit to this lovely castle .

This is tricky to review. It's expensive of course and you have to decide what you are paying for. The room is very nice as is the bathroom in a classical style, but you are paying for the setting and the drawing room and surroundings. The receptionist fellow, Iain, was excellent and gave a tour of the castle as well... More

The Eisenhower suite occupies the top floor of this grand castle created for the Kennedy family to the design of Robert Adam. The public are allowed in on the lower floors during castle opening times and access to the top floor is via an elegant but elderly lift. Arriving at the suite of rooms is a wonderful experience as the... More

First little uplift was driving through large stone archway to reach castle doorway. Ian was walking past and took our bags, showed us to our room and gave us a little tour of the floor on which hotel was located and much appreciated handy tips on how to find our way around. Beautiful drawing room where we had afternoon tea;... More

Culzean Castle is just amazing. We were booked in by a cousin as a surprise. Well it was just that the whole experience was incredible. From being able to stay in The castle itself the Eisenhower Apartments to the afternoon tea to walking the grounds. The room was on the top floor and the view just amazing as it overlooked... More

On the top floor of Culzean Castle, above the tourist traffic and beyond the red ropes, lies a hidden treasure for experience seekers. My partner and I spent a fabulous evening of luxury in the Eisenhower Apartment within Culzean Castle. From the moment you bring your car up to the castle esplanade (with other tourists wondering who you could be... More

Arrived after a long drive to amazing views of the castle and surrounding area. Everywhere is very well kept and looks cared for. Were greeted by very pleasant staff and Ian helped us with our luggage and explained everything that we needed to know about our stay. We had 2 nights in the Gault room overlooking the sea which was... More

Fantastic 2 night stay at Culzean with great staff, Billy and Iain. Iain provided a guided tour of the Castle and an entertaining history lesson. The weather was glorious and walking around the beautiful grounds made you realise what a superb attraction this place really is - and the acoustics in the Round room, during evening drinks, kept everyone amused....
