We stayed here for one night on Tuesday as part of a work trip. It is a small, old fashioned (in a good way) hotel which I think may be family run? We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. The reception area was very cosy with seating areas, tv, fish tank, and a tray with a flask of... More

After camping in Scotland for a week, was happy to put the rain behind us and enjoy a warm bed, hot shower and a dry atmosphere. Got all three here, bed was comfortable and room was lovely. Plus a brilliant breakfast every morning. Couldn't beat excellent service from the warm and welcoming staff, helpful with letting us set up the... More

I booked through Booking.com for 1 night as a special surprise for my husband. I had emailed to ask for an earlier booking in time and heard nothing back. Then I phoned them and spoke to the manager who said I could book in at 1pm.We travelled for an hour and a half to get there and were very excited... More

Situated opposite the colourful Orchard Gardens the hotel is ideally located for visiting Girvan Harbour or the town centre. Golfers can take advantage of Girvan Golf Course or for the more ambitious Turnberry Championship Course. Day trips to Ireland can be achieved by travelling to Cairnryan to board the ferry. The menu is large and varied and the food is... More

We had a one night stay here and I have no complaints, the hallway staircase could do with some modernising but my room was lovely, clean and quite modern, bed was comfortable and bathroom was lovely. My parents stayed next door and weren't happy with their bed - mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. We had dinner gap here and... More

We used the Southfield Hotel as an overnight stop on our way to catch the ferry to Ireland. The hotel was comfortable but old fashioned and was in the process of being updated. The staff were very friendly and helpful/ the room was clean and comfortable and the food was good and reasonably priced. We would use this hotel again... More

The hotel is ideally located within 10 minutes easy walk to Girvan town centre and provides on site parking next door for guests. The room was spotless clean and with tasteful modern decoration. The beds (both single) were extremely comfortable. The room had central heating - ideal for a cold Ayrshire evening. Large windows let in the light - probably... More
