This was our first stay at Cosses Country House. We stayed for one night thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are traditionally decorated in keeping with the stunning character of the house, and we're spotlessly clean. The owners have tried to think of everything that you could possibly need even down to electric blankets for those chillier nights. We occupied both... More

We stayed at Cosses which allowed us to attend a friend's 80th birthday close-by. We were happy to be accommodated for an early arrival so we didn't get to sample the afternoon tea. Initially, we were well-impressed with Cosses Country House. Beautiful layout and in a lovely setting. Our suite (Ailsa) was spacious, well equipped and clean. Our only small... More

First of all I would like to apologise to this couple that they found their stay at Cosses Country House anything but enjoyable. I would like to respond to each point: A special request was made by the couple for a very early arrival in order to change before attending their friend's birthday lunch at Glenapp Castle. I offered to... More

I have stayed at Cosses Country House on a few occassions, the last time was May. Susan and Robin always make you feel so welcome and the food is excellent. The house and rooms are decorated tastefully and the location is beautiful. I always reccomend this Wolsley Lodge to all my friends and family.

We have stayed several times at Cosses and never disappointed. The location is is hidden away amongst the hills outside Ballantrae but located near so many activities from fishing to golf ( thats me catered for ) country and sea walks and of course all the historic points of interest. Remember how close it is to some serious international golf... More

We felt really at home here. Cosses Country House is tucked away out of sight of the road and right from the start we were able to relax in the beautiful garden. Our accommodation consisted of 3 rooms - living room, bedroom and really spacious bathroom. Although we hadn't experienced Wolsey Lodges style hospitality before (sharing all meals with other... We visited toward the end of a 3 week tour, mostly of Scotland, and frankly I was getting a bit worried as we wandered farther and farther from the main road down a well-maintained, but quite unpopulated secondary road. Would this be some sort of not-so-good experience in an otherwise wonderful vacation? Short answer: this place deserves ten stars--the Iona... More

We very much enjoyed out stay at Cosses House. Although we were the only guests at the time, Susan made us feel totally at home. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, with many ingredients from her own lovely garden. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous as well and we went for a lovely walk with help from the maps provided at... More

Far away from the maddening crowd, this is a charming and welcoming farmhouse. Very comfortable accommodation, in fact exceedingly so and Susan's cooking (Dinner and Breakfast) made this a delightful stay. We stayed with Susan at the start and end of our holiday in Scotland and it really made our trip a memorable one. It was the first time we... More
