We were made to feel welcome and relaxed as soon as we were greeted at Glenapp Castle the service, food, and housekeeping were excellent and I hope to return soon. We had good interaction with the staff. A very nice touch we had personalised menus. When we booked we were asked about likes and dislikes in the food line -... More

My wife and I stayed at Glenapp last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were met at the entrance and our bags taken to our room, which was large and impressive. The evening Tasting menu had a variety of courses, each of which was enjoyed by both of us. Service, both in the Restaurant and elsewhere in the Hotel... More

I was given Afternoon Tea here as a 50th birthday gift and since its quite a distance to travel from home just for this it seemed rude not to enjoy once again the superb hospitality at Glenapp. It had been around a year since we had stayed here but John & Hugh remembered us. These are the little touches that... More

We stayed in the Countess of Inchcape rom for two nights. The room was very spacious with glorious sea views towards Ailsa Craig. We had a bedroom with a sitting area a dressing room and an absolutely massive bathroom- the epitome of fine living . The decor is very high standard country house and yet the atmosphere wasn't at all... More

Have just returned from having lunch at Glenapp Castle today. One word: SUBLIME! We arrived, and the staff were attentive, they took us through to the drawing room for canapes and pre-dinner drinks....The canapes were to die for...We had little scones (i can't quite remember what was in them) served with a goats cheese mousse. Stunning, then we also were... More

Glenapp Castle and surroundings were outstanding with the gardens in full bloom. Fay made us very welcome and went that extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed on our wedding day. Hugh - the assistant manager was exceptional, very attentive and helpful with all our arrangements, providing an excellent professional service. The rooms were lovely. Agnes obliged by... More

Although we have visited this hotel several times over some years now, it never fails to impress and never disappoints. We were fortunate to receive a complimentary night's stay having won a prize draw. We chose to add a second night and were very pleased we did. The standard of excellence from arrival right through to check-out is exemplary. The... More

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at Glenapp on Sunday. We had the library to ourselves so the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty all filled with local produce. The scones were just out the oven and there was lashings of cream and jam - really delicious, The cakes and tarts were light and perfectly... More

I stayed at Glenapp for one night with my partner as a treat. The stay was in order to have the michelin star dinner. We arrived in the afternoon and ordered sandwiches, to accompany champagne we had opted for in our room. They were ok if a little stale around the edges. We had upgraded from the standard dinner to... More

We are not at all surprised to see this negative review appear. It’s rather sad example of the misuse of Trip Advisor by a guest who didn’t really have a reasonable or fair complaint. Unfortunately, in order to respond properly to the review we have to be a little bit less discreet about these guests than we would prefer to... More

Just returned from a 3 day stay at Glenapp Castle celebrating our friends 50th. Wow what a fabulous place. Fay and all her staff have got to be the best in the business and we have been to some more expensive places around the world. Can't rate this highly enough and would love to have a return visit hopefully not... More
