Glenapp Castle is tucked away on the beautiful Ayrshire coast, near Ballantrae. The building is an impressive sight when you reach the top of the long, winding, private drive through the charming estate woodland..and inside it doesn't disappoint! It's classy, warm and full of antiques and art works. Our room was..well...very roomy, not to mention super comfortable and completely spotless.... More

We visited Glenapp Castle for the third time and were yet again treated to exceptional service, first class facilities and a superb dining experience. Welcomed by Hugh and Cheryl who were aided by a fabulous team, our visit once again met all our expectations. We were entertained on our first evening by Nick, the owners brother which made our stay... More

This is a magnificent Castle property and is so welcoming and confortable and the Manager and staff look after you very well wiithout pretention or stuffiness. From the moment your announce your arrival at the electronic gates at the start of the meandering drive (you can then be welcomed at the door when you arrive up at the Castle) to... More

There are so many encouraging comments to be made about this wonderful hotel the list is endless; this location is pure bliss if you like to listen to silence - other than the song of the robin. The sight of the red squirrel running across the front lawn is magical (and rare) This is a real life Harry Potter castle... More

The food was beautifully presented. Staff were very polite and attentive. Great afternoon. Went for a walk in the grounds afterwards to see the gorgeous gardens. Would recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant afternoon out. The castle is stunning. Lovely decor in keeping with age and style of castle. Very high ceilings. Lovely views.

Afternoon tea was well presented with a great selection of sandwiches homemade scones and cakes a a lovely fruit yogurt dish. This was well worth the money at £19.50 each.... More

Recently spent 2 nights here with my wife. Small castle hotel with less than 10 rooms. Hotel and grounds are extremely well kept and being a gardener it was great to walk the gardens and discuss them with one of the keepers. Worth the visit. The staff were excellent, both the permanent and the trainees from France. Nice people, just... More

I have recently stayed at Glenapp Castle hotel for the second time. The standards are still so wonderfully high. The gardens are immaculately maintained and the rooms always kept so clean. The friendly professionalism of the people who work there was judged to perfection and every person delivered world class service on every single occasion. The food was simply superb,... More

Glenapp Castle hides itself away with almost no signs saying where it is, and a private road which is only accessed once you have buzzed through to the hotel from the intercom at the closed gates. The grounds are beautiful, and it is one of those luxury hotels where the staff make you feel that you are actually living in... More
