Stayed her for 1 night hotel is ideally located , we had room with a nice view but to be honest the room was in need of an upgrade and if that was done it would be excellent. It wouldn't take much and it would make the stay much more enjoyable. In saying that had a good sleep but deffo... More

Where do I start with this...hotel is a bit run down..holes in hotel that needs fixed..not water tight..heating in room would not turn off..window broken on top floor so landing was wet..bar and food is the only thing that kept this from being really poor review

We popped in after biking the costal route 7 from Ayr. Staff were very friendly but not nosey, loved the decor inside with the boat bars. Music channel playing was great and at a good volume, so could enjoy the songs and have conversation. As regulars came in they were greeted by name which we thought was great, another telltale... Dropped in for a drink. The bar was almost empty and lacking in atmosphere. The bar could do with a facelift. The welcome was functional but not great. Drink was reasonably priced. There is nothing wrong with this pub but there is nothing which makes it an more than average. There are many better pubs in Troon.

What a great place for lunch! Very friendly and attentive staff make sure that you're welcomed in and served (at table) as quickly as possible. The food arrived promptly and it was excellent - huge portions and all very well prepared. My tiny criticism would be that there was no pickle on my Ploughman's, but that's not even worthy of... You get what you pay for, we had a group on deal for £50 a room with bottle of wine for 1 night and in all honesty it would be gard to complain. The rooms do need redecorated and don't look as if they have been in last 30 yrs. However, they were clean, spacious and comfortable with some amazing... More

We had an overnight with groupon, we checked in just after3pm. The room was spotless and very warm. We did not have a view just rooftops but we knew that when we booked and we were only sleeping in the room. We booked for dinner which Wes very nice and there was plenty of it. We later sat in the...
