Great location, and right on the front of Troon - we enjoyed the presentation, and the staff we met were pleasant and friendly when serving us. There is a good amount of parking available within the hotel grounds.

Had a lovely two course dinner in this hotel. The menu was very good, not extensive but suited us fine. Well priced and great value. The best meal we have had in the past month. Will definitely be back.

I was really looking forward to my two night stay. On check in I was told I had been upgraded from the double room I had booked to one of their cottage rooms. What I wasn't told was I had been upgraded to a place where maintenance work was going on in the cottage behind! Drilling and banging and I... More

Dear Rachael25, Thank you for your review on tripadvisor. I am very sorry to hear that you were disturbed by some work being carried out in our neighbours garden. It is my understanding that there was some pointing work carried out during 1 of the days of your stay but that the work was fimished by 2pm. I am sorry... More

We stayed in a standard room at Piersland House for two nights. The room was just OK - clean, but pretty small and there was no safe and no refrigerator. And the shower was tiny. The hotel has a lot of history and character, but is in need of maintenance, with doors, furniture, and woodwork all beat up and carpet... More

My wife and I experienced another thoroughly enjoyable overnight bed and breakfast at the Piersland House Hotel in Troon. Our double room in the main hotel building was spotless and very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and bottled water. As usual, the evening meal and service by the restaurant staff was excellent. The quality and variety of food provided... More

We have visited Piersland House on many occasions and prefer the cottage style rooms as they are very spacious. They have been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Beforehand they were perfectly ok but they were a touch dated. We had a couple of minor issues with the food but this was quickly sorted out.Have to recommend the 'sunday... More

Pleasant ambience, well trained staff. Smallish room 10 for £145...Good smoked salmon&scrambled egg breakfast.Beautiful, child friendly grounds. Would return to discern restaurant in non wedding mode, say for lunch. That said, the wedding dinner (aka 'breakfast') was hot, well-cooked and enjoyable.

This hotel is truly beautiful, and surrounded by the most fabulous gardens with perfect lawns and hanging baskets. And we managed to stay when the weather was perfect!! We booked directly with the hotel for a cottage with DBB at a cost of £400 for two nights. Not a cheap weekend compared say with Murrays Hall where for the same... More

Stayed here for one night during a golf trip. The hotel is right across the street from Royal Troon golf course. The building itself is beautiful as it is the former house of the grandson of Johnny Walker. Beautiful woodwork. Our room was upstairs and was spacious with a large bathroom. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was typical Scottish breakfast.... More

Upon arrival at this lovely hotel we were pleased to be upgraded to a Cottage Double Room. It was great to discover it had a comfortable lounge, king size bed and a good-sized bath. We pre-booked the dinner package which was delicious and great value. Make sure to enjoy a whisky in the resident's bar afterwards. Breakfast was cooked to... More
