Cannot comment on the hotel, only the restaurant, wish the front of house staff could be a bit more pleasant, that is your first contact and attitude could be better. Food very traditional, very nice, a bit boring, and the atmosphere is very staid. Cannot fault anything just not the friendliest or cheeriest of places.

Had a 1 night short break to attend a special birthday party. Our room was available when we arrived early in the morning and it was worth the wine and dressing gown package...made our stay relaxing. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Troon is a hidden treasure for relaxing, and the weather was perfect so we could enjoy the outside space

Beautiful setting, lovely terrace to enjoy in the good weather. Stayed in a cottage room which was ideal, spacious bedroom and bathroom with separate sitting room and very clean. Food and service at dinner and breakfast very good. Staff in general very welcoming and professional.

I loved the one nights stop here on our cycle ride following the National Cycle Network route 7 which passes the hotel. The rooms where clean and spacious. The hotel is well maintained and the main building has a great character. The evening meal was very nice and so was the breakfast served by very friendly staff.
