My husband and I have stayed at Sumburgh Hotel a number of times. It is always the highlight of our trip to Shetland. The staff members are great; the food is delicious; the room is always wonderful. We consider Sumburgh Hotel a real gem. more

We were on a camping trip in Shetland for two weeks in June. We did spend a few nights in the comfort of hotels though, including time at the Sumburgh Hotel. We loved it. Great location, especially to go birdwatching. Very convenient for our early flight back to the UK mainland the next morning. Would recommend it. more

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is convenient for the airport and Sumburgh Head is a great spot for seeing puffins. The hotel is adjacent to Jarlshof and Scatness. more

My third stay here in last 6 months because it is close to Sumburgh airport & good for early flights out. During my first 2 visits I had bad eating experiences (a dreadful burnt gammon steak & a cheap & nasty chicken pie). This time I made it easy for them & had haddock & chips which they managed OK.... more

The close proximity to the airport makes it a great place to end a trip to the Shetlands. The food was great, well presented and service good. more
