We spent an unforgettable two nights at the Loch Torridon Hotel, and I still picture myself walking through the front door to Susan's warm welcome and tea in one of the sitting rooms. We treated ourselves to these luxurious nights and are both happy that we did. The hotel is exquisitely decorated, has a wonderful staff, offers lovely rooms, and... more

spent two wonderfully peaceful days in the torridon area. The hotel is beautiful we had fantastic room (more shortbread please!!), with wonderful views over the loch and the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed in the food ,but nothing to complain about maybe my expectations were too high.We also ate at the Inn... more

Check-in excllent,Room 16 superb--great views and bathroom. The overall ambience is one of understated luxury and great attentive service without being intrusive. Food---could not get my first choice, but the Lobster Ravioli was a superb second.9 The West Coast is bereft of good hotels(including the currently owned Inverlochy Castle). This stands out above all else GO---You will not be disappointed more

After reading the last review I must say I am completely shocked at their comments, as they could not possibly be staying at the same hotel as we were in May. The staff are so welcoming and IN NO WAY RUDE! Rooms spotless, no strange smells anywhere. Please do not let such comments put you off as this is a... more

Am amazing drive around the Applecross Penninsula (take time for lunch at the Applecross Inn) brought us to our inn on the edge of Loch Torridon. With a view of wall to wall mountains, we were ready to put our heads down and have a quick bar snack as we knew we'd eat in the inn whatever the food was... more

Excellent food, very attentive staff, magnificent selection of Malt Whiskies, very, very comfortable. Just spent one night (sadly) at The Torridon in room 14. The room was wondeful, with a slipper bath in the bedroom and shower etc in the turret. Room was spotless, bedding etc to the highest standard and all extras you could ask for. View from the bedroom was stunning of the Loch, mountains and the lovely Highland cattle and... more

This my second visit to The Torridon. My friend & I discovered it first quite by accident while taking a southbound car tour of the Scottish west coast. English language, with its mere 500,000 words, contains no superlatives worthy of the experience in my mind: The setting is, well - stunning. The House itself is graceful & sumptuous without having... more

We were interested to see if the new decor in the public rooms were going to spoil the atmosphere of The Torridon and we are pleased to report that it looks fab! Gone is the tired chintz and in with modern fabrics, wall treatments and lots more comfy seating. The whisky bar is much, much better. Very stylish and showing... more
