We first stayed here about five years ago; we've returned several times since and are heading back up again shortly. The reason we keep returning is that we've always been very warmly welcomed (including our 18 month old daughter, who was treated like a princess and had a table set for tea each day with white linen, silver cutlery, and... This is a lovely hotel with spectacular views across a sea loch to mountains with snow on the peaks even in May. Perfect for walkers. Very pleasant 'country house' atmosphere. Excellent food. In particular the 'full Scottish breakfast' of bacon, black pudding, haggis, tomato, eggs any way you want, mushroom and a sliver of potato. Home made marmalade. Even the... More

What a wonderful place! Bridget gave us a great welcome and our room had superb views. The staff were very friendly and well trained and nothing was too much trouble. The setting is amazing - right on the lochside surrounded by mountains. The food was very good - a real wow and better than we were expecting - why isn't... More

We spent our first holiday as a married couple at The Torridon after an extensive search across luxury Scottish hotels. The Torridon fully lived up to expectations and we could not have asked for any more during our three night stay. Due to working in the morning, we arrived relatively late in the evening but we were given an extremely... More

The Torridon was wonderful. We had a room that had the most fantastic views of the Loch (especially from the roll top bath!). The room was huge and luxurious with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I am trying to recreate that comfortable bed at home with not much luck! The food was wonderful - both dinner... We were very excited to stay at the Torridon, all of the info looked so amazing. Sadly, we did not feel that the Torridon lived up to the expectation. The staff were absolutely A-MAZING! Super helpful, polite, friendly, and always willing to do anything to help. The grounds were lovely as well. Our room was nice and spacious but in... More

Thank you for your review and please accept my apologies that you did not fully enjoy your stay. We are very pleased that the staff looked after you so well however disappointed that the hotel did not live up to your expectations. I agree that chipped paint and tea stains are not acceptable but we make great efforts to maintain... More

We had originally tried to book in to the Inn which was full so booked into Hotel and I am glad we did! From the minute we arrived the service was excellent with the perfect balance - friendly but not too casual nor stuffy! We were offered advice on walks in the area and given printouts of routes with maps!... More

We live for our short breaks away to small luxury yet personal hotels on the West Coast of Scotland and had always wanted to experience The Torridon. We therefore decided to treat ourselves by celebrating our first wedding anniversary there. Indeed, based on their pricing, awards and reviews we had very high expectations of The Torridon and thought it must... More

We arrived to re charge our batteries and were delighted at what we had booked! Staff were fantastic, taking care of our every need and want. Tea/Coffee was offered on arrival - much needed after our journey from Edinburgh - we did however opt to have the Champagne that was chilling in the room, savouring the views from the bay... More
