This hotel is first class in the middle of nowhere in Scotland. In spite of being very isolated with no cell phone service, the Internet is excellent as is the rest of the place. We arrived on a old Scottish summer day to be warmly greeted by a wonderful staff.our room was on the second floor but there is a... More

We stayed only one evening on our ramble through the Highlands in July. There are many, many things to love about this property and our regret is that we weren't there long enough to enjoy them all. Archery, shooting, kayaking, cycling, were missed, but we were able to take good advantage of the single-malt selection in the bar. The house... More

This was my second stay at the Torridon. 10 years ago I just happened upon a charming castle in a spectacular setting and went in to see if they had a room for the night. This time they had changed a lot. The castle is still lovely but they had added cottages and cabins and it has become more of... More

spent a few days here a while back. amazing old hunting lodge that houses a selection of different rooms in a variety of colour schemes and styles. not cheap but you get what you pay for. the breakfast and dinner that is included in the room price is staggeringly good, surprised they don't have a michelin star - it was... Great location.but very overpriced and not value formoney?bedrooms average. Food good but not spectacular and not worth £60 per head for dinner.Service very poor, waited 15 min for drink at bar and hotel not busy.Table not ready for breakfast and when it was ,no milk, salt and pepper ,and sugar set!Not in same league as Knockinaam Lodge which is in Connosieur Brochure.

The Torridon was one of the highlight hotels of our trip. The grand old house has 19 rooms, plus a cottage. All rooms are 'new yet old'. While it retains much of the wooden furniture of olden days, splashes of bright happy orange bring the rooms back to modern times. Our cousin stayed in the main building and his room... More

Popped in here for a wee dram after dinner. The Whisky Bar is a magnificent place, clad in wood panelling, like drinking in a cigar box. There is a fabulous range of Scotches and the view is truly magnificent. Done archery here on two previous occasions, and that too, is a fabulous experience.

It's sad that we'll likely never be able to afford to stay at the Torridon, but at least we sampled their hospitality via an afternoon tea. We'd stopped for morning coffee (served with deer-shaped shortbread, no less!) and had a wander through the grounds, which are immaculately kept. The main building is impressively elegant in the Scottish baronial style and... More

My wife and I stayed for three nights at this very interesting hotel, situated at the top of Torridon Loch. The estate is very well kept and a delight to walk through. Service is very good, albeit the youth and inexperience of some of the staff occasionally led to misunderstandings, nothing that was not resolved quickly. The rooms are good,... More

The staff are friendly, the selection of whiskies and gins is unbelievable (300 malts & 50 gins), and the hotel and grounds are gorgeous. We ate three nights in the hotel's dining room, and each was a splendid affair. Old-school service (amuse-bouche in the drawing room before "going through" to the dining room, and an ever-changing array of delightful dishes.... More
