Been to the Morangie on a few occasions for lunch and dinner. The food is pretty average, nice enough but nothing special. The staff were friendly but the service was terribly slow, over 2 hours for a 3 course meal!

Old fashioned Scottish Hotel, stayed for one night as part of 9 day Classic Car tour. A bit run down but nice bedroom with all facilites. Evening meal was a good carvery with excellent choice of starters and sweets. Full Scottish Breakfast was fine apart from waitress got both our orders wrong, but quickly put them right. Unfortunately,I left my... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during a 3 week tour of Scotland and I have to say, it was not very enjoyable. From the outside and also the reception area it looked quite promising but then we went up to the room. On the way up there was a strong smell of what I can only imagine was an... More

A comfortable Edwardian house with good sized rooms with all amenities. Good restaurant for evening meals and a large car park. Tain itself is a lovely village with a great small museum and church which is a "must-see". Close to the Glenmorangie Distillery too!

This lovely old building has been spoilt by the addition of a conservatory which serves as the restaurant. Our room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. The wi-fi worked about 10% of our 2-day stay - the receptionist blamed my iPad's operating system! We had a disastrous dinner of undercooked chicken and very amateurish service in an almost... More

We booked 2 Superior Double rooms. Thinking this would be a better room than the traditional double. I'm not sure what the regular double rooms were like but we were disappointed in the quality of the bedding in the "Superior Double" rooms. Both rooms had tired, old, hard beds with very flat pillows. The four of us all woke up... More

Although dated in its decor the service was good and the welcome warm. Very close the the distilliary which made for a great visit on the following day. Ground floor access for myself, our two dogs and all the dogs crates etc was a real benefit.

We were passing through and stopped for lunch. Lovely meal and great value. Service was first class and complements to the chef - even our very fussy youngest came our saying we need to go back there. Appreciated the friendly and attentive service and recommend a stop here.

While heading for the Highlands we stayed one night at this hotel. The Hotel is an old building, but don't let that put you off; the pluses are large spacious rooms, comfortable beds, ample parking facilities, friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. Some of the common areas and decor are in need of renewing, I am thinking in particular of... More

Although the hotel itself is ok, beware of staff members giving out inaccurate information. I was unfortunate enough to have a problem with a tyre on my motorcycle and had to get to Inverness by 0800hrs. This is about an hour away with traffic. On arrival at the hotel the previous evening I was informed by staff that a 'Continental... More
