Stopped in for a meal while passing through the Highlands of Scotland, and stubled on this hotel on a Tuesday night. Had a gorgeous Pigeon starter with parsnips and black pudding which was presented superbly on a 'slate' like plate. My partner had the homemade soup which was extra tastey! we both had Venison as a main course which was... More

Called into Morangie for a late lunch as couldnt find anywhere else open in Tain. Staff were very welcoming on arrival , choice of 3 menus. Food was freshly prepared and very nicely presented. Only negative was 2 cigarette bins on either side of the front door overflowing with disgusting cigarette ends .......not very welcoming !

Stayed here while visiting family. Lovely welcome from the young lady on reception. The room was a large superior double room in the annexe,It was dated and in need of some TLC especially the bathroom broken tiles and a shower that had a mind of its own .Had a good night sleep as bed was comfortable and quite quiet as hotel... My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. We got a lovely welcome from the reception staff who were genuinely friendly. Our room was very comfortable indeed. We had a four poster bed and the furniture and paintings gave it an old-fashioned (in a good way!) feeling. The room was very clean. We had 2... More

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay here, bedroom very cosy, to cosy had to open windows to cool down even with temperatures outside around freezing.Breakfast was especially delicious, the bacon (sourced from the butcher in Golspie) was so good along with sausages, blackpudding, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, bakedbeans etc!! Served piping hot and not at all greasy.Dinner was also very good, something on... More

I was slightly disappointed when I arrived as the bedroom looked a bit dated. It was however very comfortable and my opinion of the hotel increased as the day/night went on. Staff were very pleasant, bar prices reasonable and food excellent. This hotel sits back of the main road so you get a decent nights sleep. My acid test is... More

Our Christmas holiday plans changed rather suddenly last year so I found myself at The Morangie House hotel rather unexpected for about a week, whilst my hubbie was working locally over the festive season (we live much further south, so there's no way he could have commuted!). I found my stay there very relaxing, partly due to the place (enough... More

Looking for a place to gave lunch on 2nd January was a bit of a challenge - however we drove past this hotel and saw a big sign beside the road "Festive Offer - 2 Courses for £11.95" - suggested we give the hotel a try and drove up the bumpy driveway. Found our way to the bar - confirmed... More

We do offer a two course lunch on most days for £11.95. We also have our famous sunday carvery for £14.50 with concessions, 3 courses, with some fine cuts of local meats and Scottish fish. Iam assuming you had two main courses, as all food is cooked from fresh, it does take a little longer. The date you visited was... More
