Bill and Sue made us very welcome and the house and the accommodation is first class. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully furnished. There is a large choice for breakfast and the traditional bacon and eggs is and piping hot and very well presented. For starters we had the Fruit Compote which is a fantastic start to the meal. I... After a lovely welcome by Bill, we were left to enjoy our quiet room overlooking the Firth. The views from the bedroom over the bluff is spectacular. Parking is ample and the location to downtown Tain is perfect. It is also a great spot for the other areas of the Highlands. As golfers it is convenient to Tain, Nairn, Cadtle... More

We stayed here overnight as we were on our way from North Yorkshire to Orkney via Scrabster. What a gem! After a friendly welcome from Sue we were shown to our rooms, pausing only to admire the original art work adorning the walls. The rooms were quietly and tastefully furnished; great care had been taken to reflect themes of flowers,... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Golf View House just before Easter, and yet again experienced a wonderful welcome and fantastic hospitality from Bill and Sue. As mentioned in previous reviews of this lovely house, we wouldn't wish to stay anywhere else when visiting friends in Tain and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay... More

I visited the Golf View House Tain with three other golfers and stayed two nights. We truly enjoyed our stay here. The B/B is an easy walk to the town center's shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were outstanding and we especially enjoyed the breakfast muffins and the fruit compote. The building and grounds are very attractive and well landscaped with... More

We stayed here two nights in September. The views of the grounds and North Sea were great and weather cooperated so we could enjoy both days. The room was well equipped as others have described and the bathroom was very large and modern. The only downside was that the place was full and we were told there might not be... More

Stayed here while playing in a recent golf tournament in Tain. Wonderful property with great views (when the fog lifted!) of the golf course and out so sea. Bedrooms are well equipped (although at 6'3" I don't really fit in a standard single bed - but that's not a fault of the property). Fantastic en-suite bathroom in our room (No... More
