I have been staying at the Carnegie Lodge on a regular basis since it opened some years ago and it can't be beaten for the professionalism and friendlyness of it's owners and staff. The food is superb and the rooms extremely clean and comfortable. An excellent choice for visitors to Tain especially golfers or those on business. more

We booked in at the Carnegie Lodge hotel, Tain, Rosshire for two nights and felt relaxed immediately. The reception was friendly and not just business like. My husband and I spent one night at the Carnegie Lodge Hotel and could not fault it in any way. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bedroom was fresh and spotless (in addition to the coffee/tea, etc. there was a bowl of fruit and mint chocs which was very nice). Small family run hotel/lodge just outside Tain. Very friendly owners and staff, service consistently good. Smallish rooms but expansion is apparently planned. We stayed here with our two children in one room, it was a squeeze but everything possible was done to make it comfortable. Food was excellent, fresh and well prepared and generous helpings. Would recommend wholeheartedly. more
