Whilst the staff are helpful and do their best the harsh reality is that this hotel needs money spending on it to bring it up to date. The décor in the hotel and the rooms is very much from the 1980's and it lets down the whole experience. The food is average and again needs work.

I stayed for one night as was attending a concert at the Pavilion. The location was fantastic as so near the venue, the exterior was beautiful. Room was a great size. Just a couple of things that they could improve on. It was clear the hotel was ran on a budget - there only seemed to be one person working... More

We stayed in Strathpeffer for a long weekend and as the two restaurants in the village don't open on a Sunday night we went here to have our dinner. We had read the reviews before we went, we can't comment on the rooms - but the food in the lounge/bar was first class, a good choice of starters and mains,... More

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. Didn't think hotels like this still existed! The decor is truly awful Highland pastiche, peeling at the edges. The bar is brightly lit, uncomfortable and uninviting. Our room was small, cramped, dated, not particularly clean and with a bathroom so small you could barely turn around in it. The plus side? The staff were... More

We stayed here as part of a coach tour and were well looked after. My teenage daughter and I were in the annex which was a bit of a nuisance running back and forth in the rain to the main hotel for meals etc but it was comfortable, clean, spacious and good views. The hotel is very friendly and delivers... More

I would advise anyone who was looking for a hotel in the area not to stay here!! The hotel is VERY dated and unclean. When walking to our room, there was large holes in the ceilings where pipes were visible, wallpaper peeling off the walls and mould in the corners. The shower in the room went from freezing cold to... More

This hotel caters mainly for coach parties. As a single person I had a double room on the front, massive room, ensuite with a bath. It is very dated this hotel but is interesting and caters to the "Scottishness" element. Tartan carpets etc. Breakfast was okay. Bathroom is okay, needs a refresh, dirty paintwork and bath needs re-enamelling. Wifi non... More

Stayed here recently on a National 4 day holiday. Hotel is basic and dated but found it to be clean and the friendly and helpful staff made our stay very pleasant. I have been on many coach holidays over recent years and the food at this hotel was far superior and is great value for money. We felt that the... More
