Went to Strathpeffer to see a band at the pavilion. The hotel is very old, run down but comfortable. It's sufferable for a night or 2 but that's it. It's not expensive but for what you pay it's just not good enough. I must mention that there was no shower in the washroom just a bath, although they do provide... More

I was very disappointed in almost everything the hotel had to offer. I agree that Peter the Hungarian barman is almost worth a 5 himself, for his sense of humour, his unique personal take on the local attractions and his ability to make every customer feel good, but unfortunately, it just wasn't enough. While the room was spacious and clean,... More

The staff were very helpful and cheerful and the cost quite cheap. However our double room was small and the shower room tiny with a sliding door to try to save space. The bed was comfortable but the floor had loose boards and must have been noisy for anyone below. The bar was poorly stocked and my white wine came... More

My brothers, son, and nephews stayed here. There was a warm welcome at reception. Peter, the Hungarian barman is a really interesting character and gave us good information on local places to go. He's also an excellent barman:-) The rooms were quite spacious, clean, and airy. The breakfast was rather disappointing. We felt that the cheap ingredients had beeen chosen.... More

Stayed for 4 nights on a National Holidays Break. Received a warm welcome from Mimi just as the snow began.Room (9) was large and well maintained with a flat screen TV and a good choice of channels.Sadly the one radiator fought a losing battle against the unseasonably cold weather, and the public rooms suffered the same fate,at times. Food was... More

Stayed on a 5 day holiday with National Holidays at the begining of March. Excellent value for money. Lyn,Mimi, Michelle,Karan and Peter the barman looked after us very well. Food good hotel good. You can tell this is a family run hotel the way they looked after us. Take no notice of negative comments as some people expect the Ritz... More

Just got back from a 4 night stay here. Went with National Holidays on all inclusive break. Mimi met us on the coach and gave us a warm welcome and our room keys, which saved all the queueing at reception, then we went in and straight to our room, which was huge. Only the 2 of us but we had... More

Compliments to the pleasant and hard working staff at the Strathpeffer. I agree with some previous reviews that the public areas need some tlc, but our room was light and large with plenty of space and storage, although I was grateful to another trip advisor member for pointing out where the electrical socket was! (room 33) We stayed for four... More
