Our stay was good with friends from Portsmouth. They had a good room but underneath the bath taps was very dirty Room 160 otherwise very good. We would stay here again and the weather was very good. Our friends were very impressed with Scotland as they had only been here once before earlier this year

This is a large Victorian period Hotel which could be really nice! There's no tartan to be seen or Highland splendour. But what you do get is very uncomfortable bed and a feeling that you're in the way. Too many coach tours has made this a lazy hotel. What I mean is that they don't have to make an effort!... More

The hotel has a brilliant setting with lovely views. And the jacobite restaurant was very nice as were the servers. Asked for steak, which wasnt on the menu given to us but they accommodated my request and a fantastic meal. The rooms need a lot of tlc I found hair on the beds and in the bath. The beds were... The hotel is located in the middle of Highlands, but if you like the nature you will love it. My room was not good, was too small: had a very small window in the top of the wall and was kind dark. But i visited others rooms and were much better than mine. Anyway, the building is so beautiful! Have... More

the location of this hotel was lovely - the appearance of the exterior and grounds was very nice but unfortunately the public areas and rooms in particular could do with a little tlc - once modernised and the rooms cleaned up i think it would be deserving of the current room rate our room was on the 2nd floor with... We arrived early evening for what we thought would be a lovely one night stay, away from our day to day lives and to celebrate a friends wedding. On arrival at reception we were greeted(if you can call if that) with a look up from behind a desk by the receptionist, who made you feel like you were disturbing her.... More

What a grand building. Great service, very reasonable prices and extremely helpful staff. A bit off the beaten track, but well worth seeking out. Despite being busy with bus tours, the staff were very attentive and efficient.

Big old Victorian spa hotel. Has a grand feel to it. Lovely grounds. Room was fine-good views once the mist cleared. Dog friendly. Dinner was quite good (about £15 main course). Bar prices reasonable. Excellent breakfast. The town is full of hotels, not much more, so it is a touring base. One has to eat in a hotel. There are... More

The entrance of the hotel park reminds us the entrance of a great mansion. The architecture of the building was truly impressive & we had a splendid view of the front park from our superior room. The hotel could look quite old but it has all the commodities than we could expect : lift, spacious room, cleanliness ... Be aware... More
