I visited this hotel whilst on business in the North of Scotland and my secretary booked this for me as it was a really good deal costing £80 for bed, breakfast and an evening 3 course meal. The hotel looked spectacular when I drove up the private drive and thought I was in for a fine Summers evening and the... More

Enjoyable stop in the highlands. Clean accommodation. Not very modern, but I would stay again. Great spot to use as a base to trip around. Great views of Scotland's biggest mountain Ben Wyvis, grounds are nicely maintained. Barman helpful and friendly.

We stopped here for one night. It was a bed for the night but not outwith its problems. Water pressure in the bathroom wasn't good and had to wait ages for the water to come through at a decent temperature. Parking round the hotel isn't brilliant, so we ended up parking off the road on the road up to the... More

I stayed here recently whilst on a business trip to the western isles. It is a grand old property in lovely grounds and I'm pretty sure it gets a lot of guests from bus tours. I was greeted warmly on arrival and I have to say all the staff I met were very pleasant. I had a double room to... More

I stayed at this hotel which will remind you of the place in the film the Shining. Its in a lovely village with great views. Staff were friendly and the food was good. During my stay I heard an odd noise or two during the night but when I awoke the next morning some objects had definitely moved during the... More

With family visiting from Australia, we were looking for a cheap and convenient stop over during our road trip around Scotland. After seeing the astonishingly high prices at Premier Inn and Travelodge, we choose this small hotel just outside Inverness. Although a little further north of Inverness than we had expected (40 mins drive), it was perfect. Each of our... More

We booked 2 separate nights and it was quite interesting the difference between the 2 rooms. The 1st room was massive, on the 2nd floor with a lovely sofa and views over the front lawns. We had included half board on the first night. Returning for the 2nd night, having stayed elsewhere the middle night, we were on the ground... More

Like everyone else that arrives at this hotel says it looks lovely from outside . Our room was ok a bit dated but nice view. It wasn't until bed time I realised the walls were made from paper mâché and I could hear next door chatting quickly followed by snoring that just got louder and louder we asked to be... More

Got s room cheap on late rooms so happy enough with the quality we got, wouldn't be impressed paying full price. Lift doesn't take you up to the third floor, so be prepared to battle up narrow stairs and awkward doors. It gives the place a charm, but it troublesome with luggage. TV in the room was tiny, and not... More
