Not far from Loch Ness, but very isolated. We seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. Thank goodness there was a small market where I could buy beer/wine Hotel is an old and beautiful mansion. Rooms were minimal, beds were awful, some lights did not work and there were cobwebs in the room. Staff was very nice and the... More

Stayed here last minute and building and grounds fabulous but very let down by the room. We were unable to upgrade to a front facing room and were situated in the middle looking out onto a roof below and surrounded by other windows. The room was very hot and even leaving the window open did not help as there was... More

Dear fifiBerkshire, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for our team. Thank you for your kind comment regarding our grounds, our gardener works tirelessly to ensure the grounds look their best. This is one of the reasons why our front facing rooms book up very quickly. I am disappointed to hear there were some issues with your... More

this hotel is in great need of updating but has tremendous charm and character. It is comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet. There is huge potential here for a lovely, romantic establishment. Meals are mediocur, staff very friendly and helpful. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

I saw this hotel when searching for Scottish dog friendly places as I was planning a trip to that lovely country. The pictures looked great, and, undeterred by the few negative comments I booked a night. This review is perhaps pointless as the hotel is closing next week for a total refurbishment, (hope that includes illumination at the entrance pillars,... More

This is a very impressive building and alludes to its previous splendour. It is however very tired and out dated. The staff did appear to be bothered. The rooms were poorly decorated. It had the charm of a haunted house but with less atmosphere. Didn't hang around for breakfast. Hope I am not being too uncharitable.

The hotel has the most wonderful entrance as you drive through the main gates. The location is perfect. Its the hotel itself that is a let down, as it desperately needs a face lift. The staff are very helpful, but there is only so much they can do to make one have a pleasant stay.

My friend and I stayed at Ben Wyvis Hotel because options were limited in the area. We were grateful Ben Wyvis had a twin room for the two of us for one night. Staff at the front desk and breakfast were helpful and attentive. No complaints! The location of the Hotel is convenient to surrounding areas, and the hotel has... More

The hotel is stunning from the outside and it's in a great location. The hotel itself is very tired, the rooms are horrible and dark, the furnishings are awful. The bathrooms are old fashioned and the whole place needs a total refurb. The breakfast was very poor. Everything had been cooked and was just sitting under lights which didn't help... More

I asked for an iron board and iron at 7pm and had to call recepcetion again at 8.30 they don't have any of the above. I can't believe a hotel of this size doesn't have enough irons or boards for their guests, the minimum should be one in each room.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Ben Wyvis Hotel. We were very satisfied with what we paid. Staff were lovely and would bend over backwards to help and make your stay wonderful. Couldn't fault the food and we were in a good sized room. The only fault is the hotel needs a lot of work done... More
