We stayed here as a couple after doing the Strathpuffer race. Phil and Sarina were lovely and so accomodating, taking in two muddy, shattered mountain bikers, letting us arrive early and providing a very welcome hot drink! The room was lovely and the bed one of the comfiest I've ever slept in......very snug, soft and warm :-) Extremely nice food... More

Thank you. Anyone that does the Strathpuffer deserves respect and a comfortable bed after 24hrs on a mountain bike. Our aim is to provide relaxing experience for our guests. Great food, Beer and Beds are part of this. Sarina and I are happy that you had a good night after a tough weekend. More

We booked to stay while attending a function at the Spa Pavilion in Strathpeffer as the hotel is only a two minute walk away. We should have phoned to confirm as it was so close after New Year but after a slight confusion on arrival, with brilliant recovery by Phil and Sarina, all was sorted efficiently and in a most... I accompanied a friend on this visit without knowing where I was going to be staying for my two nights in Strathpeffer, I had no preconceptions as my friend and I had never discussed our accommodation. First impressions ? were of a fine old building that looked a little weary and in need of some TLC. They say that first... More

Thank you for your kind review. Sarina and I hope that our warm, friendly and caring nature shows in our service for our guests so it is great to have this confirmed. The location was one of our reasons for moving to Strathpeffer and the build is beautiful and under our tenure receiving the TLC it deserves, we know we have... More

My partner and I stayed at the Richmond Hotel on a work/pleasure trip in October 2013. We found Phil and Serena to be very friendly and welcoming. The room was great with a four poster bed and a lovely view over the town and surrounding hills. It is an old building which is being refurbished and the "Victorian" plumbing did... More

Peter it was lovely to meet your partner and you. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and clearly understand the ethos that we bring to this beautiful Victorian property. I can understand that allowing water to run until warm is alien as you live in an arid area where water is a scarce commodity. However sometimes... More

I booked a room in the Richmond B & B to travel to a business meeting the next day,Phil was very pleasant and came out to meet me but this is a Bed And Breakfast and not a hotel, the decor was tired and it was not very clean. However I decided to make the best of it and went... More

It was disappointing that we could not do more to assist our guest with finding alternate accommodation. We did ring all the hotels and B&B's's in Strathpeffer and used our local knowledge to try and find alternate accommodation. Sadly the rise in employment at local shipyards has resulted in all the local hotels being fully occupied. We ourselves were fully... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. While we enjoyed our stay and were mad very welcome. I did think there were areas where things could be better. My main concern was with the cleanliness of the hotel which was not as good as it could be. Being dog owners and a dog friendly hotel it does have some... More

Phil and Sarina and 'Mum' are the lovely people who run this hotel. Every room is focussed on a different kind of crystal and is painted in colours to match. I stayed in the Rose Quartz room which is light, spacious, has a massive bed and bay windows that overlook Strathpeffer and the surrounding hills. The hotel is very dog... More

MeisV, thankyou for taking the time to write your review. We are quite unique in Strathpeffer from the crystal related decor, Mauritian food that reflects our heritage ( we have the only Mauritian restaurant in Scotland) and a range of complementary therapies. Whilst it is great that you enjoyed all of these customers do not have to be interested in... More

We booked for the first weekend in January. We were the only guests in the hotel, though the bar and restaurant attracted visitors on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
