The owner, Ann, welcomed us very warmly. Large, well-equipped, comfortable room; excellent guest lounge (no TV in guest room, which I think is a bonus not a drawback!). Lounge has some great views over the loch; telescope set up for the eagles; lots of nice green ideas; Ann is a fount of local knowledge and very helpful in suggesting activities.... More

The original house has been beautifully redeveloped & is light & spacious, & equipped with everything you could need. Anne is a wonderful host, couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, with a great knowledge of good walking in the area and recommendations for getting the most out of a visit to Shieldaig. Food absolutely delicious - organic, home grown, locally... More

I telephoned Ann the day before our arrival to apologise for the fact that we would be arriving later than expected. When I booked on-line three months earlier, I said we would be there at 5pm.. Shieldaig is remote and for the uninitiated it can be easy to underestimate the time needed to get there. I had not anticipated that there... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The other side of this story: I received a phone call around 6pm Saturday – just as I’d sat down for the first time in 12 hours. I was informed that the group of 4 would be ‘SLIGHLTY’ later than the 5pm entry indicated for their Sunday arrival – (6pm... More

We stayed in 6 different B&B's in Scotland, and while all were good, Aurora Bed & Breakfast was absolutely superb! Ann works very hard to make your stay amazing - she thinks of everything! Everything is clean and organized, you never need to ask her for anything. We stayed in the Applecross room and the bed was huge and like... More

This was the best B&B that we have enjoyed in many respects! Loved the breakfasts, the cleanliness of the rooms and the privacy afforded to guests. The flap-jacks are still memorable (recipe please?!) We stayed in Torridon and Skye rooms; both were great although the shower works much better in Skye...

We stayed 2 nights at Aurora b&b. Unfortunately the weather was extremely bad during our stay (hurricane bertha), so we spent 1 day at the b&b watching films and relaxing. Ann is very kind, helpful and organized. Great breakfast and free wifi. Comfy room. Shiledaig is a small village but the location is amazing! I recommend this b&b!!

Three of us on a mountain walking holiday spent three great days at Aurora. We all loved it. Every detail was considered, and fresh bread was on the table every morning. There's a drying room for wet gear (fortunately we had fine weather, but still used the drying room for slightly damp gear on one day), wifi, a very well... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful Bed & Breakfast and once again our stay was brilliant. Ann is a fantastic host & has made her home into a warm, friendly & relaxing place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely lady & she is constantly on hand to offer help & advice... Our bedroom was superb with a super king size bed. Ann made us very welcome right from the word go and gave us a tour of the property straight away. There is a drying room for wet boots and clothes. Fresh milk in a fridge available for all bedrooms. Ann also makes wonderful flapjack which is available at all times.... More
