Extremely friendly and attentive service. Our room was a good size, with a lovely en suite, and the best views of the bay. Our evening meal in the quiet restaurant was delicious, and breakfast could not be bettered. Just loved the scrambled egg and smoked salmon, and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.

This was our third stay in 10 years and we love the location. It is friendly and the food is good. But we no longer feel it is good value for money - it is a hotel "resting on it's laurels" and we shall think twice about future visits.

Maybe we went here at the wrong time, as the restaurant was closed. The bar staff did not seem interested in serving and we were not the only ones in the bar to encounter their bad service. Very unattractive and drab looking bar. When we asked for a pint of the one real ale on display, we were told abruptly... More

First visit to the restaurant under present owners. Great variety and range of fresh food. Friendly, polite, efficient staff. Food prepared fresh. Very picky husband thought his seafood pizza was fab, he loves thin crust and fish of all types, he watched the fresh dough been rolled out how fresh us that. Thank you we will not hesitate to come... More

We come here a few times a year to eat when touring. Always a lovely welcome from Iwona and staff and the locals. The food is excellent whether taken in the bar or upstairs in the restaurant. The seafood is super fresh and wonderful to taste, whilst the sweets will tempt you wickedly... Worth the trip through some of Scotland's... More

The people, place, everything about this place makes it worth the effort to get there - even from NZ. We heard about it from friends in Scotland and indeed while there met other guests from Scotland for whom it is their secret treasure. It's hard to find and you need to enter the post code into your GPS or you'll... More

We visited Sheildaig on a day trip of the west and stopped in for lunch. We decided to sit upstairs in the cosy dining area, over looking the loch. as the pizza oven was hot we decided on a Sea and a Hill pizza. these were freshly made in front of us and cooked to perfection, followed by steaming hot... A great meal - you get what you pay for. Service very attentive - the canapés were a huge surprise. Would definitely recommend eating at this hotel. Great situation facing Loch Torridon. The evening we were booked in there few other diners which affected the atmosphere a little but would certainly return.

The hotel is beside Loch Torridon with magical views towards Harris and Lewis. The meals in the hotel dining room are varied and use local meat and seafood. Wines are expensive but the half litre house wines are good value. Meals are also available at The Coastal Kitchen pub next door which has a pizza oven as well as an... More

chose this hotel because we were riding the Bealech Beag sportive in this most beautiful land, but that's a different story. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the location is quite stunning, the hotel simple but adequate with few basic facilities, no room TVs or other entertainment, but very comfortable. Its a very long way...
