My husband and I have stayed in some wonderful hotels but this hotel is truly brilliant. It isn't luxurious, the decor is a bit 1970s (silk flowers, flowery sofas) and the rooms are basic. However this hotel has character. It's in a truly beautiul location, the staff are really friendly and you feel at home. We sat in the bar... more

This hotel was perfectly located at the end of a gorgeous day's drive from Durness, including the coastal loop through Drumbeg to Lochinver and stops at Ardvreck Castle and Corrieshalloch Gorge. The location of the hotel itself is wonderful--we asked for a room with a view of the loch and were not disappointed. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet.... more
