Visited twice, second time for an evening meal. Have to say it was as expected, typical pup food, good quality, no complaints. If you want posh nosh, then this is not the place, but for value I can only say try it. Seen previous reviews, being not so complementary. I can only speak as I found and if in Cromarty... More

Stayed for two nights in April all rooms looked good as just had new carpets fitted. As fitters were just clearing up. Pub was great and had a few drinks with the friendly locals. Food was nice I usually have scampi and chips nothing to adventurous. I would stay again maybe not with the wife as she has to go... More

Stayed there just the one night. Had dinner in the pub, which was great at a very reasonable price. Hosts were friendly and the full Scottish breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and comfortable. The building was evidently in need of a few minor repairs, but nothing that interfered with us having a pleasant stay.

Husband pulled out bed to try and find a socket, wished he hadn't as there was a few years worth of grime under there. A colleague in another room found what looked like blood stains on her duvet. Won't stay again and would not recommend.

Stayed there two nights and I'd say it's quite good value really, beds were comfy and the rooms nice and quiet. The full Scottish breakfast was good apart from the cheap cardboard sausages. Friday night we ate in the pub downstairs, the seafood was excellent and incredible value - langoustines were huge and very fresh and the whole lobster amazing... More

The rooms were on the first floor, over the bar. No trouble at all. Stout scottich breakfast, enough for cykling on to Inverness, at least :-). They had room for our bikes in the back yard. They served Real Ale from the tap. Different types. Nice tables outdoor for an ale (or two) at arrival. This is a place for... More

Visiting Cromarty on a wet, misty day isn't the best time to go so when the staff at the Cromarty Arms said dogs were welcome, we took advantage of the roaring fire and a good pint or 5 of the local Cromarty ales...Cheeky Chappy was very good. The food looked to be standard pub fare so we thought we'd chance... More

Came here with my family, I had a steak dinner, cooked perfectly, my girlfriend had lasagne which she said was lovely, my mum had the fish which she said was lovely and fresh, and the kids had macaroni, which they say is the best they have ever had. Yeah its not 5 star food, but it is what it says... More

Called in at Lunchtime for a drink and a bite to eat, the staff (Denise) was welcoming and chatty and made us feel at home. She was very knowledgeable about Cromarty and we will definitely be returning again.

Went in for dinner, food was quite tasty but we felt like we were a burden ordering. Local Bingo night was on and a few of the old hags were clearly unimpressed with us taking their lucky seats. The ugly decor of the pub is in direct contrast with the rest of Cromarty which is beautiful
