We've just returned from Applecross after a fantastic 3 night stay at this lovely B&B. Alistair and Seonag couldn't have been more accommodating. Seonag made us tea when we arrived and Alistair drove us into the Potting Shed for dinner and even arranged with the manager to call when we needed a lift back! James, their young son, was equally... A group of 5 lads, we headed to Applecross for a cycling weekend and stayed at this lovely B&B. The rooms are well appointed with fantastic facilities. The cooked breakfast was awesome served I front of stunning views across to Skye. The B&B is only a mile or so walk from the lovely village of Applecross. Very friendly and accommodating... More

We had a lovely warm welcome from James, who looked after us so well throughout our stay. Really lovely to stay with a local family in such a small but vibrant community. Accommodation was spot on, clean, pretty, and comfortable. We were even given a lift to and from the pub, although it is so beautiful there we decided to... More

Seonag and Alistair (and their young son!) make a fantastic job of running this little B&B with commitment, alongside running the farm, the post office and the village shop! We were warmly greeted with tea and coffee and homemade shortbread and a chance to sit down, relax and chat. That's unusual and really nice - we felt at home immediately.... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay with Alistair and Seonag who could not have been more welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and it certainly is a room with a view across the sea to Skye. We would definitely recommend Carn Raineach to others as a place from which to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Applecross Peninsula.... More

Great b&b and a wonderfull family, they were very helpful and kind with everything. The room was clean and fresh and the ensuite was lovely and the breakfast-wow, we were well set for our day ahead after that, nice local produce and a plate full. Just hope it wont be too long until we return again.

If you are looking for a B&B in the Applecross area then this is the place to go. Lovely accommodation, owned by a lovely family who couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. Great breakfast as well! Thanks Seonagh and Alistair - looking forward to staying with you again soon. Judith & Fraser

A 15 min walk from the Applecross Inn brings you to a small settlement and an essential local stores. The B and B is part of this so you feel very local and involved. Hosts couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended!

... to have stayed with this lovely family, in a lovely house, in a lovely corner of the world. It's 20 minutes' walk to the Applecross Inn, but we were lucky in that the weather was excellent and so the exercise was welcome! The room we had was well equipped and comfortable, with an unbelievable view. Very enjoyable, and highly... More
