Fantastic wee trip. Hotel was lovely & cosy. Friendly owner who was always able to yap away for a few minutes. The pets were all very friendly too especially Glenda the cat. The only bad thing I can say was the pricey evening meal, so the girlfriend & I would goto nearby hotels one of which was a complete dive.... more

I could not fault the location for peace + quiet ( no clubs or pubs here ) The hospitality was excellent and the food was good ( Breakfast was everything you could want ) The room was very comfortable and the views over Loch Ness from the room or the decked area are first class. more

I would recommend this hotel as the location is stunning, its quiet, peaceful and the owners were friendly and accommodating. We asked if they had playing cards as we had forgotten to bring ours and the owner went and got us cards and let us keep them for the duration of our stay. Foyers is between Fort Augustus and Inverness... more

I too am dubious about the other review which describes this place as "fantastic". I do not recommend anyone stay here. The owner has pure contempt for his guests. Strange behaviour for a hotelier. At least basil fawlty was funny. The worst bit is that I spent good hard earned cash to be treated like some lower form of life.... more

Highwaymen used to stand at the side of the road and relieve unsuspecting travellers of their money. In the case of the unpleasant, sarcastic, pompous and intractable owner of Foyers House, his hotel stands at the side of the road and from here he relieves unsuspecting travellers of their money via a series of ridiculous and unreasonable surcharges. For instance,... more

Only a phone call away, the wedding party, all from Glasgow “you can take the boy out of the scheme, but you cannot take the scheme out of the boy” you have to laugh……..

Room was very nice, shame about the rest of it!!! Witnessed the owner being exceptionally rude to other guests. Owner claimed to another guest that he entered my room during the night – unfortunately I sleep like a log so I cannot quantify this. View includes a rather fetching view of the local telephone exchange cables. I have noticed on... more

Their was a wedding in the village, lovely couple, stayed here a couple of times while checking out the area, they reserved our bedrooms for their guests, everybody was happy, but there is always one, you have to laugh, imagine it standing in reception at 10.30 in the morning dressed only in it’s tee shirt and boxers, profoundly deaf and...

Great hotel in a stunning location. The welcome from the hosts couldn't have been warmer. Food fine, prices very reasonable. You would be very hard pressed to find better. more

We chose to stay here because it was the only B&B in Foyers that had vacancies. The location was ideal for us, but the overall experience disappointing. Firstly, we had great difficulty parking because the parking area consists of deep, loose stones and is sloped - we were on motorcycles and the wheels were spinning and the bikes almost toppling... more

I acknowledge that our car park consists of crushed stones, most experienced bikers carry a "microstand", to assist positioning there side stand on rough surfaces, I will make provision for novice riders, soonest. I was not aware of any situation that may have caused embarrassment, I was comfortable with the tattoos, the orange hair and the headscarf and I do...

+ nice quiet location and away from the tourist groups in Drumnadrochit/Inverness, great Loch Ness views, very basic rooms but clean, wireless internet access although no phone, friendly outdoor cat "Glenda", our host was very friendly and helpful, especially on fitting us in for two extra nights during a very busy holiday weekend + good restaurant with very good food... more
