Had a great weekend in Fort Augustus and were welcomed to this cosy B&B by the lovely wacky owner, Carol. She briefed us with all those local activities and sights plus tips to get a glimpse of ‘Nessie’. We stayed in room 1 (facing Station Road) & 2 (facing the canal), both are great rooms. Note to those who have... More

We arrived late in the day after a horrible drive. The owner was there to greet us and barking mad! However, the offered us a warm up drink and showed us a great little room, it was packed to the rafters with lovely items. It had a lovely coffee making area, fabulous TV and she had left a good set... More

My wife & I spent two nights in this quaint guest house, and have absolutely NO complaints, the standard of cleanliness left nothing to be desired, the bed was almost as comfy as our own at home, and what can I say about breakfast,?? I had the full Scottish breakfast on our 1st morning, I have a healthy appetite, but there... More

I've been there few days ago with a friend on a trip all over the highlands... and I really loved this B&B as well as the owner, she gave us a really warm welcome, even if we were a couple of hours late. The place was tidy, clean and really comfortable, really a couple of steps out from the town... More

We can't believe the (few) negative reviews on this property! Do not listen to them. Read the check in rules and know that you are going to a different country were rooms are not as big as "American standards" and you will be incredibly happy! Check in was very easy and Carol was easy to communicate with both before our... More

We received a warm welcome and were provided with a map and suggestions for places to walk and eat. We were in a family room as it was the only one with twin beds but had a nose in the others too. The decor was lovely, the beds comfy and our bathroom small but perfectly formed. Breakfast was lovely (apart... More

I came back for the second time, and it's simply a fantastic place. Not only everything is perfect in the Caledonian House, but you'll also have the great chance of meeting Carol, who runs the place. The house is well located, with a view on the canal, and it will only take you 5 minutes to walk to the Loch... More

Booked this over the phone in advance of our stay. Got held up in Lossiemouth and rang the proprietor at 6.40pm (check-in time was 7pm) to inform her we were running late and found she thought we were already there!! Someone else had our room. She obviously had not checked their names or assumed (wrongly) that we were not coming.... More
