Morag's hostel is absolutely first rate. Visited whilst cycling the great glen with a couple of friends. This was our overnight stay and the room we had was fantastic. Better than a number of hotels I have stayed in. Room was super clean and beds extremely clean and comfy. The bar was excellent (serious priority for 3 scotrsmen) and despite... More

One of my favorite hostels in the UK - if not all of Europe! The location can't be beat - close to the shores of Loch Ness. The staff are friendly, the bar and kitchen are well-stocked, and a hearty meal was provided at a really cheap price (my first taste of Haggis - definitely give it a try). I... More

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a trip to Scotland for the commonwealth games. After the 'busyness' of Glasgow we wanted a few nights away from it all and Fort Augustus definitely delivered that. Morags itself was a great place to stay. Staff were really helpful, accommodation was clean and very comfortable and the facilities were great. Good... More

I stayed here for 2 nights on a recent Haggis Adventures trip. Amazing! I was in a triple with my cousin and sister- comfy beds, and clean en-suite bathroom. Very clean and cozy! The whole place had a welcoming lounge-y feel. The food was awesome- if you're going to try haggis, do it here when they make haggis-stuffed chicken. Large... More

The perfect location at Fort Augustus - get to some of the best places in Scotland from here; mostly always a fun crowd, good facilities for everyone, dinner portions are monstrous, breakfasts are good for a hostel, the Internet works at good speeds in the lobby. I loved the spooky names of the rooms and the time in the bar... More

Stayed here in a haggis tour...very small town nothing to do except for the Loch Ness boat trip...so there's always something on in the bar at morags, awesome atmosphere, rooms have an ensuite, shower is average, rooms are small..dinner is huge and worth the 8 pounds..for what you get in other cities 20 pound is a bit much for this... After a very long, wet 22 miles as part of our walk, 5 friends and myself checked in to the lodge. It was a relief to see the room was clean, tidy and with an en-suite. There was a quiz on in the bar hosted by Danny G which was good fun. A perfect end to a long day. The... More

Stayed at Morag's Lodge on a Haggis Skye High adventure, accomodation was comfortable and clean, it was a lovely place to stay, a big thank you to Claire, Julia, Elsa, Lee,and of course Bridie. Centrally located in Fort Augustus it was just a short walk into town, bikes were also available from Morag's , and I had a lovely ride... More

The Morags Lodge was definitely the most curious place along the Great Glen way. The location up the hill is quiet and serene and the building itself is very welcoming. The staff was very friendly, and focused on young travelers as well as older travelers. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfy. We slept on a mixed... More

We were a fair bit older than the usual hostel client (a pair of 50yr old cyclists) but we felt just as welcome as anyone. We paid slightly more for sole rights to a four bunk room with a good bathroom. Had to ask to hire a towel for the princely sum of £1. You have access to a good... More
