We stayed here for one night. I liked how it was hidden away off the beaten track. It was a nice and clean lodge (backpacker style). The staff were nice and friendly. Aside from the noisy backpackers it was a pleasant stay. They had a nice little bar with fairly priced drinks. The kitchen was a little on the small... more

Great hostel with nice rooms and fantastic showers! We were badly in the need of the showers after along day hillwalking. Really friendly and helpful staff, especially Kenny in the bar and the manager Liz. We enjoyed a night of great live music in the bar with a local musician and a few pints of the organic beers...in short probably... more

Morags Lodge came as a great relief after a terrible hostel experience in Edinburgh at the Castle Rock. The power shower was the best part. I walked out of that shower so refreshed. The receptionist was very warm and gave me a directory filled with menus so we could sort out dinner. The wood paneling inside the hostel is very... more

The hostel is pretty good. Clean, good breakfast (2 GBP) and decent dinners (5 GBP). I would recommend it, the only downside being the price. It was a little expensive for a hostel. I know they don't have much competition in Fort Augustus as it's such a small town. But I've stayed at other places which were just as nice... more

We arrived at this hostel after a 9 mile walk from South Laggan. The hostel was easy to find and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We shared a four bed mixed dorm and were unfortunate enough to share with a couple of Brazilian males who snored very loudly thoughout the night however the bunk beds were clean... more

My husband and I are both in our middle 60's and really enjoyed our time at Morag's. Rebecca was wonderful, and thank you for doing the laundry. The bed was comfortable. Every thing was clean and if we can ever afford to come over to Scotland again, we would not think twice about booking in again. We met some wonderful... more

Very nice and clean hostel beatifully located by Fort Augustus and with views of Loch Ness (both about a 2 min walk away!). We had booked a double room with ensuite shower and were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and the bed comfy - definately above regular hostel standard. The place has a kitchen for self... more

Really nice hostel near Loch Ness In the Scottish Highlands. Top facilities and friendly staff. In fact more like a hotel than a hostel with comfy en-suite rooms and fantastic showers. A good base for exploering the Loch Ness area. On our second day we went to the Isle of Skye for the day which was amazing. At night their... more

We stayed here for one night, as part of a road trip around Scotland. We didn't want to stay in a large dorm room or share a bathroom, so booked the private triple room with ensuite, which still worked out cheap for the two of us, and less than what we had expected to pay! The room was fantastic -... more

I took a trip up to the Highlands with my Boyfriend and I was really excited. The drive up was fantastic with all the snow on the mountains. We had pre-booked a double room at Morags Lodge and had high expectations as a couple of mates had stayed their when they did a Haggis Tour and said it was great.... more
