We came across The Inch hotel as we drove towards Ford Augustus and stopped spontaneously for a coffee. The hotel was empty in the afternoon, which surprised us, as it has a lovely view and cosy lounge area. Fort Augustus was quite busy with tourists though. Would recommend for a quick stopover with nice views, away from the main tourists... More

The word hotel is not doing justice to what you will experience when staying at The Inch. It is more of a home away from home, nestled on the shores of a beautiful loch. Anyone visiting Loch Ness would miss a truly memorable chance to taste a slice of Scotland by not staying here. John, one of the managers and... More

We stayed here for 1 night as we went around scotland. The hotel is stunning from the outside and is in a great location, the bank of loch ness. Our room was very clean and big, the bathroom was clean and tidy, altho could do with a bit of modernisation but still fit for purpose. We went out for dinner... More

We stayed here for 2 nights - a lovely hotel overlooking Loch Ness with gorgeous views and exceptionally friendly staff. The furniture in the rooms is a mixture of antique and old items, which is nice, but the bed made some terrible noises and was probably in need of replacing - the pillows also weren't great making for a less... Thoroughly friendly hotel, happy to accommodate our two dogs in the bar and lounge, and come to our little dogs aid when she cut her foot. Very good food at breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended - every member of staff were keen to engage and spend a few moments to discuss your stay or where you were from.

I actually like this hotel. It's a hunting lodge of sorts: stag heads greet you in the hallway, smart tartan carpet and a roaring fire in the hushed parlour overlooking the loch. It could do with a makeover to be honest. Get rid of the cheap leather sofas, remove the anaglypta. But there are some cute features that appeal: tartan... More

Have just returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Inch Hotel, which is in a wonderful setting and the elevated position of the hotel affords excellent views of Loch Ness and hills beyond. Our main reason for picking this particular hotel was that we have a very sweet young Cocker Spaniel and the Inch advertises itself as pet friendly... More

We stayed at Inch Hotel in March to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. I had always wanted to visit the area and the short 4-night break was a surprise gift from my husband. One of the requirements was that the hotel accepted dogs as we travel with our retriever/collie cross and Inch Hotel did. On arrival we were... More

I was bowled over when the manager emailed me in response to my pre-warning of my food allergies, to ask me for guidance as to what they could cater for me. This never happens. It entirely took the worry out of my weekend, knowing I wouldn't be ill or deemed "fussy" - helping me to relax and focus on the... More

A lovely hotel. clean, comfortable, well stocked bar and great evening menu (although never ate it) the rooms were big and beds were very comfy. The shower was rubbish! I have long hair and there was no pressure so it took forever to get the shampoo out! They really need to look at getting extra pumps or something. Also the... More
